Fr. Goring. My son is 32yrs, I'm 30 years older than him. He is bed bound mega disabled. I used to take him to church retreats to get him healed. Now we can't even go to church it has been 13 yrs. Since he got sick, 26 without going to church, no body wants to take care of him. I have surrendered to Gods Devine will. What God wants we want. Jesus, through luisita picarretas books has done it all. We are happy and have the peace of our Lord. We gave our fiat.

I can't believe that I just opened up this video and Fr Mark's sermon came at the very Right Time for me. I had been talking to my husband about feeling left out of our family's activities this coming weekend and this homily pops up. Just say to God that he must take over the problem and deal with it! Thank you Father I have been bothered by the northern lights, the eclipse, an earthquake in my region, the torch of the Statue of Liberty being struck by lighting around the same time and sea gulls being chased out of my area by crows so now there are crows and ravens instead of flocks of seagulls. I believe all of these events coupled together are a warning from God to us and I started to lose my inner peace trying to figure out what this all meant. So, hearing what you said and did about your concerns is good advice for me, Thank you.

Oh crud. This is God giving me a message. I’m so angry with my husband for the last day-I can’t even be in the same room with him. Is it worth it? No.

God bless you, Jen. You didn’t ask for advice, and mine isn’t worth much, but it helps me to make the right choice intellectually first- we have a formed conscience to fall back on!- and then remember that my body needs time to metabolize all that adrenaline. Walking and praying and wrestling with God will help you to stay close to God regardless of what your husband is doing. Prayers for you both.

God is working on me, and I have to acknowledge this. 😄I’m going for a bike ride right now.😊 That helps me pray and reflect…and work of some of that adrenaline. I know I have to forgive him, but I also need to communicate (in a healthy way!) to my spousal unit my displeasure at being treated like I am an idiot. The condescending comments build up, and then I blow up. He’s acting like his father did towards his mother. But I am not his mother, and I don’t just take it like she did. Different generations. And nope, the bad feelings are not worth it, hey? Thanks again-for making me get out on that bike.🙏🏼💕💜

Thank you Fr. Goring. I too have come to realize that surrendering is a choice. I used to resist surrendering because I felt like I was giving up - but when we've done what we can or we don't know what to do, it's a choice we can make to simply let go, even if it's only temporarily, and allow God to guide us.

I went to therapy for a while. The initial session gave me a lot of relief; but after that, my therapist’s answer to everything was I had to work at changing my mindset. I finally cancelled the rest of my appt sessions simply saying I know what I have to do, I just have to work on it. But it was bringing it to God, forgiving those involved and moving forward with his help that has started my real healing. Having confirmation from the therapist that what happened was in fact messed up big time was a grace given by God as well, I believe. But giving it to Him and saying I want to be done with it was the true grace.

26 months of not going to holy mass, we watch it 1:38 only on tv. My lord said 11 yrs of purification after we got covid I was hospitalized and my Lord told me it was our mortification when I asked him. So 26 months of that.
