Very relatable to me! I was about 20 years old, raised Baptist but coming back to Jesus after some tumultuous teen years. I was looking for a church that honored Jesus and the Gospels, because the person of Jesus Christ is really what brought me back to faith. I remember attending Mass just to check it out, and seeing how everyone stood for the Gospel, how the priest raised it and kissed it. It blew me away. I didn't become Catholic then and there but that was the beginning.

Cradle Catholic here. I tried out a protestant church for a few months, much emphasis on community but very light on scripture to attract followers, and a weak attempt at imitating communion (bread and juice in disposable cups) with no acknowledgement of real body and blood. So now I find myself praying daily for the Catholic church's revitalization. May God raise the Church up with His mighty arms once again.

News flash. The Catholic Church doesn't offer true body and blood of Christ to the faithful. How is it that Catholics call a simple wafer put on the tougne the body and blood of Christ???? Why don't they provide real Communion to the faithful,??? The true faith most certainly does. The true faith requires one to partake of the Sacrament of Confession at least monthly, preferably more often. The faithful partakes of the body and blood of Christ together from a spoon at the hands of a priest. The servant of God. ....( Name) Partakes of the all holy body and blood of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and unto life everlasting amen.

Even the Rosary comes from words in scripture. I’m converting and in catechism class. I was so spiritually blind and a huge anti Catholic. Once I went to Catholic sources I found out every Protestant argument was a strawman. What I thought Catholics believed, was not what they actually believed. Catholic answers has helped questions like, how is Mary a perpetual virgin, Why does the Bible say Jesus has brothers, do Catholics worship Mary? Once I learned these words ‘Latria’ and ‘Dulia’ my heart softened, and now I see how full catholicism is and how the Christianity I was serving had been stripped to bare bone. When I put true Protestant arguments next to Catholic sourced arguments, the Catholic reasoning outweighs Protestantism every time. One reading this doesn’t know I’m not bashing Protestantism, I’m actually extremely humbled because I see how wrong I was in my anticatholic ways. I’ll always love the churches that introduced me to Jesus and taught me some, but I have matured and see what I’ve been missing and can never go back.

Catholics are not Christian. They are pagan. They don't believe Jesus was sacrificed once for all men who believe . They reject God's plan for salvation. They also don't believe any one has salvation without partaking in the mass. Their salvation is never secured. It's a false church. A false gospel. Peter had to be corrected by Paul for his false teachings. Christ is the head of the church not self appointed papacy.

Not raised going to church, but never understood why I was supposedly always saved, but then told I was burning in hell when caught in sin. Once I got past being so angry for the contradictions, I decided to pick up my protestant bibles, & read my way into the Catholic Church, especially 1 Cor 11, The Lord's Supper. It was the eucharist that brought me to the Church. AND, Fr. Nixon was one of my priests when I entered! He was the 1st priest that I met, AND he sat down to talk w/ me. I may be an adult convert on paper, but I've always been Catholic. The Church teaches a relationship with Jesus is critical to salvation. I am blessed! Then eventually, little by little, God's Spirit did His work on me and I simultaneously got in touch with philosophy, history... and I watched some very smart people whom I figured were catholic. Then I thought if the people I most like are Catholic and they're so smart, I need to take a better look into Catholicism to see what they say about these things they do and we protestants are against. I figured everything made so much more sense than I knew and that it was the genuine Apostolic succession, with the correct understanding of the gospel. And I was mesmerized. It was like getting healed from blindness and discovering the world is so colorful and that's how life is meant to be. The world had been upside down so far, and now it's adjusted back in place. I'm halfway through my catechism classes at the moment, hoping the get my conditional baptism next year and confirmation. 🙏

I was always used to carrying my Bible to church, so now I carry a Roman Daily Missal. I love following along with the Liturgy during Mass! It’s encouraging to see so many Catholics are waking up, realizing the truth of our faith, standing up for Catholicism and getting deep into the Bible. Please consider this... respond if you have sensible opinion: May I ask, considering non Catholic Christians use the Bible which the Catholic church chose among around 25k manuscripts of the New Testament, it assumes much that non Catholic Christians implicitly believe in the Catholic Church's God given authority to declare what's true. If not, then why don't non Catholic Christians choose their own manuscripts to include in the Bible as divinely inspired. But that would mean infinite versions of the Bible because of the assumption of most non Catholic Christians that all Christians have the authority to declare truths. What's do you think? An honest question. The Bible is selected and compiled by the Catholic church. Then non Catholics used that compilation and claimed it for themselves. The Bible is a Catholic book. I wish all you brothers and sisters fullness of truth in Jesus and be more fully Christians.

Be it known: through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has it's own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.

The Catholic Church is not a denomination. The Catholic Church is the one and only Church of Jesus Christ. As such, to lead someone to Jesus Christ is to lead them to the Church he founded. Your idea of a true Christian as one who interprets the Bible for himself, unaided by infallible authority, is misguided. The Bible is not an instruction manual for the masses. It is a collection of books and letters intended for the instruction of the faithful by their divinely appointed bishops, who would be guided and preserved from error by the Holy Spirit according to the promise of Christ. I left the Presbyterian church after Roe vs. Wade when I received a letter from the Presbyterian church stating they didn't have authority to tell me abortion was wrong and I must make any decisions without their Church's guidance. I was Evangelical for years and found the interpretations too varied from church to church. Finally I turned to the Mass and found it still golden.

EO here! Wawww couldn't be better said and explained! It came at the perfect time. Yesterday before I go to sleep I saw a post from someone ( non EO or RC) that said " worship is like a coat" Isaiah, and directly the following question came in my mind: well first define what you mean by "worship" and than understand if you are wearing the right coat! However, I didn't express any opinion but in my heart I knew that we had complete understanding, and went to sleep with that thought! Today, once I opened KZread directly this video came up ( first time seeing this channel) ! Was mindblowing!!!! I have friend protestants that I really love and my heart and soul prays for them! And I am sure they do the same for me! But what I realised during the years, is that if God's grace doesn't work within us, is very difficult to see and accept things differently from what you know, no matter the evidence is given! However a small homework to my heterodox brothers and sisters: search how the chuches where the epistles were sent and the ones that played a vocal role to the history of Christianity ( Thessaloniki, Korinthos, Rome, Ephesus, Jerusalem, Damascus, etc) were worshipping, even before the NT was conducted and check what all those Churches ( that were part of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic) have in common. Whatever those churches have in common is 1000% comming from Apostolic Tradition and is not what you call "tradition of men" It's not by chance that all those churches have the same sacraments, same liturgical order, same temples etc. May our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us and humble our hearts so we can approach those topics with burning desire of understanding the truth rather than just waiting to validate our beliefs!

@@Annabanana727 Say what? That Jesus is the only way? John 14:6 If you are asking where “mass was the most biblically centered church service service I had ever experienced. Everything is centered around the Word of God.” Well, It doesn’t say that anywhere in the Bible. In fact, there is little, if anything, in the “mass” found in the Bible. Such as: *Mass itself *Re-sacrifice of Jesus on the alter. He was sacrificed ONCE For ALL SINS. *Priests after Jesus’ death *Adoration of a wafer in a monstrance *Genuflecting *Believers believing they’re eating Jesus’ flesh. Jesus said, Ye must eat of My flesh (come) and drink of my blood (believe). We must come and believe to have eternal life. We eat of Jesus spiritually in the NT as Christ said, “the flesh profits nothing.” *Burning incense *Lighting candles for the dead *Saying a “mass” for the souls who didn’t believe Jesus’ sacrifice was enough to purge their sins so they made up a fictitious place called “purg-a-tory. Guess there had to be a holding place for Catholics who tell Jesus “thanks for brutally suffering and dying for me, but I still have to contribute to that plan of salvation since your death just didn’t cut it. So….We made up a place whereby fires purge all our sins cuz You couldn’t!” (BLASPHEMOUS)!!! *Closed communion - communion is for ALL who have put their faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. *Confession to a priest. There is no longer a need for priests after our High Priest went to the Cross. Why do you think the veil was torn from top to bottom????God did that to say we no longer need a priest to get to Him. We can go DIRECTLY through His Son Jesus Christ. *Penance *Apostles saying Jesus’ Words spoken are fine, but there’s “so much more to learn that JUST what Jesus said. We have to make an entire catechism cuz Your words found in the Bible, Jesus, aren’t enough for us Catholics.”

Shortly after I had my son and then a daughter. I remembered my promise and starting asking God to draw near me and started taking my children to church. The more I prayed and read my Bible I realized what I was missing. I was missing Jesus. I was trying to get to the Father without Jesus. So I started seeking Jesus, which has lead me to Catholicism.

@@SaintDominicMedia @SaintDominicMedia Unfortunately friend the Catholic faith does contradict the word of God. Firstly...a qualifier I'm dead certain a unknown number of Catholics through simple trust and heart for Christ are blood bought believers and are saved. This could be because they have little or loose knowledge of Catholic traditions and practices or know little of God's word and are only beginning their walk with Jesus. Session 6 Canon 9 of the council of Trent completely denies that faith alone in what our Lord accomplished is sufficient for salvation. This is a major problem as it implies that when Jesus said "It is finished"... this is at odds with what has to be done by "fallen human" beings to attain Salvation.. We bring nothing to the table... The holy spirit living in believers whose hearts the Lord has drawn to him starts with true repentance, then baptism he continues to work in the hearts of the saved. Sanctification is life long as we walk in relationship with Jesus in and through his word coming to know and love him more. Out of this growing love for Christ good "fruit" flows from the living water inside of believers becoming more prevalent as we grow in holiness and go to war daily against sin. This is truth, and plenty of testimonies attest to this including my own changed life, all credit to Jesus.

My personal experience is that i learned no scripture in mass, empty platitudes same recitals ....no energy vibrancy of spirit filled worship(not talking about emotionalism) Same old recited verses, homilies with occasional reference to the odd verse. The Lord drew me to search more deeply...came to faith at 30 thru joining a bible saturated Church and was born again. Only through a close personal relationship with the Lord thru his word can be become more progressively holy with his spirit living inside of us leading the way, stumbling on the way..but its a daily commitment to fight sin with living in his word Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word(i.e the bible), you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 Sanctification and holiness are the same word in greek....(To be set apart, distinct) I dare say if we go to Church Catholic or Evangelical and spend the rest of the week living and succumbing to sinful pleasures....one must ask oneself am i truly born again ....am i being taught Gods word thru mentoring etc...am i growing in to my saviors likeness? Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish Ephesians 5:25b-27 Remember.... The veil was torn in two after the Lords death when the sky darkened and the earth shook A priest doesnt need to make atonement for believers anymore as was peformed in the Old testament....we now have direct access to Jesus...because his death and victory over sin. "Hail Mary"...respectfully why risk an idol when we will face him in the end In Luke 1...Mary describes needing a savior....she was a sinner like the rest of us who will like all true believers will be redeemed and honored on the last day because of the Lord Blessings❤

It was my protestant bibles that showed me all the Catholic teachings, & I wasn't raised in church. But one can never be always saved, then sin & have that assured salvation ripped away, that is a contradiction in their own words. Scripture tells us we can't serve 2 masters, so "assured salvation" is a lie. My protestant bible helped me find the Catholic Church, not that the people are perfect, but because their teachings, scriptures are in the very protestant bibles that the "bible only" people scream but then also deny

My wife was Catholic and so were my mother & father but they began to read the Bible and listen to a radio station that focus on God's Word rather than a bunch of traditions of men. My parents ask questions to varies of Priest with little to no answer so they eventually became Christians (Evangelical) who follow the Word of God written in the Bible. What an Eternal Blessing it is to have a relationship with God The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit our GOD. Nevertheless I definitely believe the all who claim to be Christians should be thankful to the Orthodox Church and Catholic Church for the preservation of the of the Holy Scriptures and the preservation of the many writings of early church fathers. I noticed the last few years Catholics have been trying to imitate and almost comaflage themselves as Evangelical Christians. With finally allowing new music sometimes even borrowing Evangelical Christian artist or songs which I guess is fine since it most true Christian songs won't contradict Catholic teachings; Also Catholics seem to have stepped it up through apologetics teachings that try to make some sense something other Christians had been pretty good at for years. But the saddest part is so many Catholics have very little to no idea of how they are or can be saved. Although they see a crucifix all over the place many are just trusting that they were baptized in the Catholic Church and that when they die hopefully the Catholic Church will have their back thru their 9 days of mass. This is called putting their Faith in the Catholic church and in being a good enough person through their works plus with the help of putting their Faith in the Virgin Mary Plus Jesus. This is not Biblical Salvation and maybe not even Catholic Salvation, but this is how most Catholics I've spoken to believe.

This is so true, and quite frankly, a huge problem. The vast majority of Catholics it seems, I included myself in that, were absolutely clueless when it came to the history of the Catholic faith, and why things were taught and practiced the way they were, and from where. In my experience going to Catholic school doesn’t help much. Obviously, the mass has a primary purpose, and that praising God and being renewed. So arming Catholics with other vital knowledge needs to be done through far more heavily pushed outside classes, information recommendations that can be easily accessed, Clubs etc.

This is true. there are responses in the mass are not obvious where it came from. For example “when we eat this bread and drink this cup, we PROCLAIM YOUR DEATH UNTIL YOU COME AGAIN” is from 1 Corinthians. WhIch is the basic argument for celebration of the sacrifice of Jesus for every single day. And not the three to four times a year.

No, why am I in Catholic KZread 😢 he said “almost everything” is scripturally based. They don’t teach everything the Bible says. They also changed things the way they wanted. The origins of Catholicism did not share scriptures at first, look up KJV. they taught how and what they wanted. Jesus would not have wanted that I think. The veil was torn, and that was never explained to me as a child raised in a Catholic home. I am now a Christian, living out the Word as best I can. Giving it all to Jesus every day. Catholicism is exactly what he said “an experience” like what? “People who are serious about Jesus” don’t need an “experience” on Sunday…. We just want Jesus. We just want the Words He left. He gave. 2 Tim 3:16!

@@Amelia7777 I sincerely appreciate the point made. Historically, the KJV came after the Original (Catholic) bible and removed the Apocrypha. The early Christian church, presented the commandments are in the order as we know it. Even after the Reformation, Lutherans and Catholics agreed on this enumeration and arrangement. Calvin and other Reformers, relying more on Exodus 20 and its presentation of the Decalogue, and wanting to make a strike against the statuary and icons (works of art) in the Catholic Church, enumerated the commandments in a different way adding the 2nd commandment and removing the 9th commandment. For me personally, I have multiple copies of the Bible, including the KJV and often cross-reference matters when needed.

Waiting by a red light I looked over and saw a Catholic Church . I knew the church was there, but I never really payed much attention to it. I actually felt as if I was being drawn towards it. That Sunday I went to my first Mass in 34 yrs. I went to Confession and spoke to the priest. I now attend Mass every week. I feel like I’ve returned home. 💒🙏🥰💕🙌
