Things have really changed since I worked at McDonalds in 1975 and 1976. Back then they had actual grills where the burgers were grilled and flipped. The milkshakes were mixed on a spindle with syrup and ice cream. The apple and cherry hand pies were deep fried and really delicious. I worked as a closer too which meant every machine had to be broken down, washed, cleaned, sanitized and put back. Big Mac’s were 70 cents. Cheeseburgers were 35 cents. The cash registers only rang totals, they did not add your order, you had to add everything in your head or with a pen & paper. McDonald’s is a well organized business and yes, I still eat at McDonalds every now and again. Thanks for the video.

I worked third shift a while back at McDonald's. It was always interesting never knew what would happen. I remember to getting cussed out by customers. During the switch from dinner to breakfast it would be cash only while everything switched over. Watching your videos brings back memories of my time there. Then I moved from working third there to being a cook at Chili's. That's when I discovered I enjoyed cooking.

Watching you make those sandwiches and stuff bring back memories when I used to be a manager there. They change a lot of stuff now and got so much new machines and stuff. When I was working there at McDonald we had those old mayo tartar and mac sauce gun and the old bun toaster machine. Look at now new bun toaster machine and new sauce gun. I remember the old toaster machine we used to always drop so many regular buns

@@snoopdogsjoint2482Yes, yes it does lol. I remember for charter buses we had to do over 100 cheese burgers within a certain time span. Now imaging that plus other orders coming in esp those who ordered cheese burgers but wanted something added or taken away. That was a crazy day then to top it off an order of 33 quarter pounders popped up on the screen. Fun but busy times. On the plus column the time does fly by. The customers can add to the chaos cussing you out for following company orders instead of theirs. They talk to you like you aren't worth respect because of where you work at.

As someone who worked at this McD's for better then 4 years, IT'S NOT THAT EASY. Craziness day was when there was a major accident on the gas pipe line and all of the workers piled into here. I was on the grill and went thru 3 bags of sausage patties in 1 1/2 hours. Had the managers from 3 stores and 2 administrators all working and for 2 hours it was as fast as you could go, non-stop. 0:42 I normally wouldn't buy a chicken sandwich, but when I saw how big the chicken was, I got one today and boy was it tasty!

I found this video very interesting. Thanks for posting it. I like that there is a customization option for 'No Salt'. Here in England, Europe, I have yet to come across this option. The nearest is that when you order at the counter you can tell that person you don't want 'seasoning' but they have to go and tell the person making the burgers that. I would love to see that option over here at the touch-screen order points. I would like to see videos about how things go wrong because I've had some lousy food at my local restaurant. The most recent problem is that it the burgers I've had were extremely salty and this had happened to me a few times. What's the best way to deal with this? I would also like to know what sort of customization options there are at your restaurant it could be beneficial to get some of them over here where I am. Lastly, why is the food never served hot these days? It used to be. Thanks again for posting this video. I would also like to see more training videos.

This looks way more fun than just "flipping burgers" at McDonalds. How often do line processes change, i.e. how often are improvements implemented to the food line? Very cool. Always room to improve.
