The fact that multiple crew members communicate exactly how many minutes are left until breakfast service is over is impressive. They are ready to make hotcakes or sausage patties right up until the very end - that is good service. I should be so lucky rolling up to my local McDonald's at 10:10 only to be told breakfast is (arbitrarily) over.

It is too bad most McDonald's are not like this. Though there is one in Chicago with mostly latina's on the line and in the back, man they work hard and make GREAT food. Sadly, it is 2 1/2 hours from my home lol, none of the McDonald's around my home are this good.

I never worked for McDonalds but I did work a kitchen cooking breakfast and lunch for a cafe in a large hospital. Its strange cause that life is well behind me, but I do miss the environment of cooking and the satisfaction it creates when you make food for people in a large quantity. I loved getting the order ticket and knowing exactly how long it took for eggs, bacon, sausage, quesadillas, and other items to be ready and time it all out to produce the item for the customer in a timely manner. I will say the best thing you can have as a cook is a caring and understanding staff that wont freak out when everything is backed up. Great video, loved seeing how McDonald's works behind the scenes.

As someone who has worked for McDonald's Canada for 3 years, I have all the respect in the world for my fellow Mickey-D's employees around the world. One thing I will mention is how surprised I am by the vast differences in uniforms. I am not insulting McDonald's USA in any form, but the uniforms seem to be less formal than those here in Canada. (Uniform is issued, must be tucked in, etc.) Nonetheless, all the respect in the fast food industry goes to your McDonald's. In every video I've seen on your channel your crew members are skilled and have some of the greatest communication skills I have seen at any fast food restaurant. I recently quit my 3 year gig and I must say that I will forever miss working at McD's. You are a great manager who ensures his crew members are competent and ready for anything a harsh lunch rush may bring. You run your franchise well. Keep lovin' it, Stephen!

When I last worked for a Maccas, The breakfast to lunch changeover was by far one of the most stressful times of the day with the compacting the remaining breakfast trays to take as little space as possible in the UHC in order to make room for the lunch trays, also somebody having to record temps for the lunch items that will be stored in the UHC, all while there had to be somebody initiate/assemble keeping up with the orders still coming in and I didn't forget to mention at any point the front can ask for pies or cookies to be baked so somebody has to put those in. It's just not a fun time lol.

Having worked in fast food for over 10 years it's unique to see how everyone works together. My restaurant never did breakfast (KFC) but there was constant communication from the front end order takers, drive thru team members, production and the cooks. It was always called out when we were running low on product, always to ensure we were never completely out. Even after we officially closed if we had customers and the product was available (fryers and cookers were off) we'd make it. For example if someone came through at 10:05pm looking for a Big Crunch combo, we'd make the sandwich, drink and probably throw in a few tenders/pieces of chicken as we couldn't make fries because our fryers take at least 30 minutes to heat up. I miss that job sometimes. We had a great team that was always worked together

As a new McDonald's employee, I've seen a flawless transition between breakfast and lunch! Our managers make sure that this goes as flawless as possible. During this time of the day, we have at least 4 people in the kitchen.

same here. I was bummed I could no longer enjoy a Sausage Egg & Cheese McGriddle for Lunch or Dinner . Last time I went through the Drive thru, I ordered a FDilet O Fish with Extra cheese, Large Fries, Large Coke No Ice and Cookies, they messed up the sand wid Gave me a Filet of Fish but instead of Extra Cheese, it was the normal half slice and they added BACON.

It is what they ordered but it wasn't and they ended up getting sick because of a medical reaction to it now you get a Law suit

I go to a nearby McDonald's about three times a week, and this operation is like night and day compared to it. Just the other day I went in and witnessed the crackhead looking manager arguing with a they/them type employee over something another worker said. It got heated to the point where the manager said F it, lobby's closed and locked the door while I was still inside! I got my food and realized it was just locked from within, but an Uber Eats driver was trying to get in but was locked out. So as I left I held the door open for him, then a group of 5 followed behind him. I turned back and that manager gave me the evilest stink eye ever.

Hi! Fan from Mexico, I want personally, well digitally, thank you for showing these videos, as a costumer myself, I tend to not be demanding or an ahole, because I know how hard it is to work on a rush, (when I was 13, my father RIP made work as a bad packing boy at a supermarket) and looking at these menu transitions proves even more that we as costumers must remember that PEOPLE work behind the counter the best they can :)
