like i know this is a goof, but the question is "how much do you love me?" and grammatically "much" refers to unquantifiable amounts while "many" refers to quantifiable amounts. a metric would answer the question "how many do you love me?"

@@connorlynch3474 Yeah! I totally could have worded that better, since I'm now realizing that 'quantifiable' does not necessarily mean 'countable.' Basically what I was trying to say (without so many words) was that 'much' refers to the amount of one thing, whereas 'many' refers to the number of a multitude of one thing.

What about "how much money do I owe you?" that's a discrete number. "how many dollars do I owe you?" sounds weird and wrong.

@@alidottxt It's "money" and not "moneys", so although our currencies have discrete units, money is continuous. To make it discrete you could say "how many dollars do I owe you?"

@7:03 If you're going to include friends with benefits you have to split the throbs system into lubs and dubs (systolic and diastolic). Because you can be FWBs with someone you barely tolerate, but the physical chemistry is really hot or vice versa. Cause if you have a single system for over all affection then there can't just be a point on the chart that's FWB. You are now so fond of this person you might as well be having sex! And also, you're putting a cap on how close friends who aren't attracted to each other can be. Probably best to just leave sex off the scale.

Ironically, when they were talking about there not being a word opposite of love, they actually said it. Despicable, or despise, is pretty Damn close. Shit, hatred. Fuck, I got caught in the goof. I'm never sure when they're goofing and this time it bit back and man does it hurt. Here I was, trying to be all smart, then boom, goofed all over me.

What about a standardized experiment, like some sort of trolley problem? So you equate your love to how many, let's say, Jerry's you would let die to save your love?

blueeyedadela yeah... hate is typically used as the opposite of love. That’s the goof. Also it plays off of the innocence of the boys that they wouldn’t know what hate is because they’re so wholesome.

I love you 3,000 edit: K so I'm now realizing my mistake since about 1,247 people have already made this reference but it's fine.

Hate and apathy come immediately to mind as perfectly-acceptable opposites of love.
