Everyone wants their version of Maynard and its just weird. He is a human and he has changed as humans do. He is not angst filled Maynard of Opiate and Aenima. He has put out the best music I've heard in my life. So he has other interest as a businessman. good for him! He did not end up like other artist, dead with a needle in his arm. To those alleged fans who cry "sellout", the man followed his passions, all of them. Music is one aspect of it, but being established in his community as a business owner is another. I like to remind myself that there with life, theres no ultimate goal or some version of yourself you have to be and actions that you must do, you can be whatever version of yourself you want to be right now. Also, i know you said you dont want to die young but simply put, you dont have to live. Of course you can, but its not a necessary thing to do, because realistically you can die at any moment, no matter how hard you try to survive. So embrace life in its totality; the pain thats involved, the pleasure, the desires, and the bodily needs. I hate to get preachy here, but treat life as a dance. Like in dance, there isnt a spot in the room your aiming to get at, the whole point of the dance is simply the dance. Just as life, there is no ultimate destination, the whole point of the show is to simply expirience and live the show. Hopefully this isnt too preachy, ans hopefully this helps lol

@@CarrionPorkus Actually, pretty alright. I think a lot of what BlgFudge said helped put things into perspective; there's no real goal - life just... IS. And while I do still hold a slight existential fear in the back of my mind when "it's all over", I'm definitely not on edge about it all the time anymore. Should probably mention that around the time of writing my original comment I was having a psychiatric emergency, so that's what mostly fueled it. I'm doing okay now though.

definitely a wine commercial. I have personally visited Caduceus Cellars with my brother Nov 1 2015 after Tempe Monster Mash!. Amazing experience, so glad to have gotten that opportunity. Go There! Jerome, AZ. He's got me sold. He makes Very delicous wine.

The fact that, in my opinion, a “musical genius”, has decided to pursue the incredibly difficult challenge of making premier wine, and IN ARIZONA no less, just reconfirms to me what a beautiful noble pursuit the world of wine is. It’s truly a passion where “the more you know, the more you realize how much you don’t know”. I already knew about Maynards wine before this motivational infomercial 😉 but I’ll be ordering a couple of bottles soon, I’ll enjoy one as I 🤘🏼 to “Sober” 😝 and I’ll hold on to one as a conversation piece.

Because we here in 'Merica "fuck yeah" have an insatiable appetite for drugs of any and all kinds. This is why the cartels are knocking each other off just to get our business. The true creative spirit isn’t limited to just one art form folks. Dedicate yourself to something until you like what you see, then try something you can hear, smell, taste, etc. It’s a blessing we have those out there to enrich our lives with beauty, but know it’s possible to enrich your own life and others lives with your own efforts. Try it out. You just might not only love it, but be great at it. DaVinci wasn’t born knowing he was going to do all he did. Maynard wasn’t born knowing how far his future in music would take him. You weren’t born knowing what amazing thing you’ll create.

He's right about the weather conditions in that area . The hippie comment was funny.The most hippie feel in AZ I've ever felt and witnessed was in Quartside. My husband has family in Yuma we go a few times a year and one of my closest friends is from the area Maynard Keenan talking about very close near Cornville AZ the wineries are very good there and Jerome where she was raised there and took me it was beautiful. If you love the outdoors it's definitely worth the trip.Then we went to Sedona.

My time in the last few days has been wave after wave of memories coming back and reliving them and being stuck in my head because of the things I've seen and what had happened years ago. The friction I've experienced is beyond daunting. I'm just trying to figure out who I am now at nearly 30 and nothing to show for it. I put my heart and soul in everything but it never has a good resolution.. hardly any clarity of what the next move should be. I've never really been a leader I've always been told what to do and shown the way and given the ability to do the tasks by having a partner or a team effort.. but I feel so alone even when I'm surrounded by the ones that have said they are there for me. Trying to find a path alone is incredibly overwhelming and seemingly impossible. But I'm still here .. I'm still trying.

So basically, the meaning of life = friction and wine. Not just any wine, Caduceus wine. ... Well you've fooled me. I'm in.
