Your garden has changed so much already. I really hope you do a years garden review in August as a separate video to your garden tours to highlight just how far the garden / property has come under yours and Jason’s stewardship 🥰 You could highlight the things that have surprised you both, the things you both love, any areas you both wish you could change / adapt, what you are most excited about, plans for the following year…. ❤️

I would leave two for your dog peeing because then he’ll find another flower to pee on so the scent of that plant might be just his pee area and put up a little sign saying Monty’s bathroom That would be cute ❤

Hi Janey, I look forward to watching your channel daily! I'm so glad you and Robbie decided to 'show it how it is' rather than hiding the mistakes and unfinished projects. That's real life when you don't have a staff to help. I think it's important to 'keep it real' - no need to be embarrassed, we're humans doing our best, keep it up!

I think a green shrub/tree would look best. You have the green all four seasons. If a lemon tree, there will be lemons all over the ground. I remember how your oranges that were all over the ground which added an additional chore, picking up the lemons that fall.

Janey, I have a blank backyard except for 4 trees I’ve planted so far. Watching your progress is so inspiring to me! And the pomegranate tree is safe for the season! Pruning and shaping it could be a fun project, in your free time😆. I had one that I loved so much. I kept it in its natural form but pruned off any adventitious growth/suckers. Yours is in a much better spot, where it can really spread out. I’m off to weed…

Your gardens are beautiful! I can't imagine how much work it has been for you and your family, but I do know how passionate you are about it, and I love that about you! Thank you for showing us the 'not so pretty' areas such as the above ground tank. We ALL have them in one form or another, why hide them and pretend they don't exist. I think we all embrace it when you or other gardeners keep it all very real - otherwise it feels like it's never attainable. Thank you, Janey.

I love your explanation of the USDA zone limitation and pushing past that and experimenting. I’ve been wanting to try a few things from zone 7 and 8 and now you’ve given me the courage to go ahead. One question: why no lantana on your best if the west garden? I think they’re so beautiful and grow everywhere…. Yes maybe even another parking lot plant 😂😂😂

Good morning. It is amazing what 1 year does for all the gardens you have. I was thinking that if you divide your gardens into zones then you would not get over whelmed with the weeds and it would help you stay on top of them. I have heard so many gardeners do this and I have done it my gardens and it helped me stay on top of the weeds. Just a thought. I have put so many of those plants that you have on my wish list and will slowly add them into my gardens. Love how they are turning out. Hopefully you will enjoy the rest of your day.

I am thinking back to the beginning of this garden, hot , dry, the end of summer. You have really transformed the feel of your garden! How fun that you still have a lot of space still to develop. Sometimes the wait is best because you can morph those original ideas and expand the design. I’ve been in my garden for about 25 years now and it’s pretty full so now I reinvent areas to keep the excitement going and to make a space that works for how we live now. Just plain wonderful Janey!! I’d like to see you add a lemon tree to your citrus orchard. We use ours like crazy. Also I would like some advice on the best planting and care. I have a small lemon buts she is struggling. Love your channel 😊

I also like your idea for the "leftover" annuals that naturalize in your zone. Other names for that garden area could be your Legacy Garden, Bits & Bobs, or The Blessing Garden because you are abundantly blessed that annuals overwinter for you!

Just amazing! So much color already. Love, love, love. 💚Won’t using a weed killer like captain jack’s also kill your plants nearby? I’m always afraid of overspray or it leaching to the plants I want to keep. Weeds are such a pain but we all have them. Lol
