I absolutely love it when you have MG on your channel. This garden is a dream. I am a BIG fan of the shades of green and texture garden. 80% of MG gardens are 80% evergreen. I have made some big changes to my garden these last few years and really focusing in on evergreens and more winter interest. The bone structure or Skeleton as he calls it so important and makes a garden easier to manage.

THANK YOU for sharing this beautiful property! We have a weird half-wall planter thing on the north side of my garage similar to the one at this house. My brother works in construction and told us putting dirt right up against the stone wall of our house would not be good for it, so I never knew what to do with it. It's been sitting empty since we moved in 2.5 years ago, but now Michael just solved that problem for us! I love watching you two together and seeing all the properties he's designed!

💚💚💚I have a self-sown native Hackberry in my backyard. I call it our Family Tree. It sprouted just after we bought our home in 2007 and we have just let it live its life. We had to bolt it back together after a fast hard freeze in fall of 2019 when it split because it was not fully dormant 😢. I have been photographing the changes I have made in the gardens around it trying to find the right design. It is a very meaningful tree to us and I can’t wait to get the space around it “just right”. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!

Janey asking Michael..."You know how you whisper at a spa?" Something tells me Michael doesn't spend too much time in spas. He's busy! 😆 I've grown to appreciate more monochromatic gardens. Cottage gardens, while I loved them in my youth, are almost too busy. Now I plant in drifts of color with white to separate color changes.
