Verbenna flowers make seed as the flowers fall off and the lil things turn brown . You'll find them in the bottoms .

Due to heat on our deck and long hours of sun on our pots, I am trying "plunge potting" this year. So I keep the plastic container but cut off the bottom before placing into soil in pot. Fingers crossed, hope it helps some of my plants survive the extreme heat in Zone 9b.

I hope they grow enough of those pink cashmere plants! I'll bet they get scooped up by the handful

I love growing Lantana too, our summers are very hot, too. I’ve noticed they are a little stinky though. Not so bad I won’t grow them. My favorite is Heliotrope.

Your garden and pots for the garden tour is looking gorgeous. And all the color combinations are inspiring. Your daughter has great artist creatively. Enjoy the gardens and pots as well as the two bunnies and have a great rest of your day.

We are having such a weird spring. We got unseasonably hot early in April and now today the high is only 47. 😩 however the weekend (and the forecast on out) looks beautiful in the 60s/70s. Can’t wait to FINALLY do some planting this weekend!!

So glad to find someone with the same zone as myself - 9b. I am in Pleasanton, CA. Our nights get cooler than Davis but our days can be very hot during the summer. I keep coming back to your channel to learn more about what plants you are using and the ones that are doing well. I am always impressed with Proven Winner plant selection; however, they are hard to find here in the bay area. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

Great video, as usual. Janey, I would like to get your ideas about my star jasmine trellis ( I have two). I live in North Carolina, zone 7b. Last year I attempted to train my star jasmines to each of their trellises. They trailed a little, but no blooms, just green leaves. Each trellis is about 5 to 6 ft tall. I decided to ad additional 6 ft trellis to each trellis using a dismantled garden arch extension that I wasn't able to use in the landscape due to lack of space. Each trellis was absolutely lovely, though still no blooms, the jasmine trailed, until the jasmine vines got to the second extension trellis, then they turned brown and dried out. Now, at the bottom of my star jasmine, especially now that it's starting to wake up, the leaves are lush and green and with some signs of white blossoms. Some of the new vines have even started attaching themselves to nearby shrubs. They're a lot of new vines forming at the bottom right now. I'm wondering if I should cut them all the way back and just leave maybe one or to vines to trail or just replace them with new jasmine? I welcome any suggestions you may have. Your channel has changed my garden life for the better. Thank you for sharing your love of gardening and your lovely family with us. So excited for you on your upcoming garden tour. It's going to a great success because you truly love gardening and that shines through in each video. Thank you so much for brightening our day.

When will they actually be available? I would love to do a test and see if the bees like them. They look totally awesome. Also do you know if they are hardy to -5c? Oh and as for fertilizers. Its amazing how some plants do better with out fertilizers. Where I live there is a wild plant called Oxeye Daisy and along a stretch of disused railway they flower on mass with these huge Daisy flowers. I asked the land owners whos land backs on the railway if he would let me have some of the plants on his property for a couple of Jars of Honey. Anyways to cut a long story short I planted 12 of these in the border gave them lots of plant feed etc and the following year the flowers where a lot smaller. Some of the seeds from the original plants I got from this guys that escaped into the driveway with no care had the same huge flowers as the ones on his land. So the more feed you give these the smaller the flowers will be but bigger leaves, Makes perfect sense not hahaha

These pots will be beautiful. Supertunias are difficult to find in Australia but I found 3 lovie dovie last year and planted them in 3 hanging baskets . Just 1 plant per pot. Unbelievable!!!! So gorgeous thru summer. I've now put them in the ground, its autumn here, and hoping they survive the winter

Do you plant multiple lantana in one pot because you want to start with a full look? I know lantana can get huge from one plant so I was just curious. I love what you chose for these pots, so beautiful!

If they have Pink Cashmere for pre-order, I'm signing myself up as my birthday/Christmas present! LOVE verbena! I'm dying to try the Whiteout as well, but they don't often have superbena where I am. Looking forward to seeing your pot recipe mature! I had a neighbor when I was little whose daughter's name was Shae. Hopefully that's spelled correctly! Beautiful name! She's got that "scoop and pull" down pat for planting!

I bought the peachy keen superbena this year. I haven't tried any superbenas before. I really wanted sparkling amethyst, but haven't seen it yet. I love the pink cashmere and excited to see what it does for you. We still have a few nights in the high 30's, so I'm waiting to plant out my annuals.
