Yes :/ Gabby died during my suicide mission, and it's been my biggest regret since. I can hardly bring myself to go into the engine room because the guilt is crippling. Mass Effect really has a way of bringing across the cost of war. One day I'll do that "perfect" playthrough, and then Gabby will live...

There was originally going to be an actual cut-scene where you meet Ken and Gabby on the citadel before getting them back on the Normandy instead of reading the specter terminal, there would be one where you meet both engineers if you saved the entire crew and one where you meet just Ken if you only saved half the crew. In the scene where you only meet Ken, he is just a complete wreck over the fact that Gabby got melted down into raw genetic paste and he regrets never telling her how he felt towards her and is found somewhere on the citadel trying to drink his sorrows away. I say "somewhere on the citadel" because while the dialogue was recorded, there never was an actual scene where you come across the engineers. My guess if the cut-scenes actually made their way into the game, you would probably find Ken and Gabby at the Purgatory bar if you saved the entire crew, whereas if you only saved half, you would probably find Ken near the memorial wall in the refugee camp

According to Dusty Everman from Bioware, a programming error in Mass Effect 3 causes the banter and argument between Ken and Gabby only to occur if Shepard is "good friends with Ashley," meaning that the player must frequently converse with Ashley and take her out on several missions to hear the two banter back and forth. If Ashley is dead, the banter cannot be activated. [4] This error is fixed by installing Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut.[5]

I didnt know you could get those two together! I remember getting them back in ME3 but not this. I wanted them to get together so bad. They gave a little more life to the Normandy, loved them

I just beat 1 and 2 for the first time, I played 3 when it first came out without knowing a thing about the other 2 games, I missed out. I'm about to play 3 again, I forgot the story completely

I loved this deck so much. I'd go to it after every mission. Sadly, I had Kaiden, so I got the bug, but it was still my favorite deck. There was just something so satisfying about doing a status report down there followed by a slow approach to the central reactor and its powerful hum.

Bioware missed on this one. Should have let Shepherd tell her he thinks her legs are great and she's got a nice rack to. Then invite her to the Captains private room.

Who? I found no one. There was Gil but he had a weird fetish of impregnating his friend so he could raise a child with her despite being homosexual. That in itself was so weird.

Me too! It’s such a downer I’m forced to put up with Ashley, watch her drunk and listen about her family problems and to her xenophobic comments just to be able to hear Ken & Gabby or Tali & Garrus great banter. I had to edit two of my ME2 Shepards to kill Kaidan, one to be able to hear Ken & Gabby and Tali & Garrus romancing, the other one to see how it changes if I romance Garrus. Such a waste of time :(

Engineering Crew: We'd be utterly incinerated. Basically on par with walking under a ladder while it's in use. Shepard: You sure? 'Cause it sounds like a big f**king deal, instead.

You can still get N7 Digital Deluxe edition from Origin, everything’s in it as well (dog, weapons, DLC, Collector's edition outfits, soundtrack, art booklets). That's what I've got.

You can do Legion’s loyalty mission right after Legion joins the crew. Soon after they’ll get kidnapped but you can do 1-3 missions before this happens, and I think you can do 1 or 2 missions after they are kidnapped and still keep everyone alive, but just in case I like to go launch suicide mission right after it happens. I’m not sure you can broker peace if Legion isn’t loyal.

I know this is in 1080 pixels but this persons machine specs must be high to get the detail you can see here, I'm guessing its the PC version since graphic detail is usually better on PCs than they are on consoles since they don't have to be optimised as much.

For any Gabby and Ken fans out there, look for the video 'Mass Effect 3: Recruiting Gabby & Kenneth (missing scene)'. It contains the cut audio recording of Shepard finding them at a bar in the Citadel during his/her first visit and recruiting them (instead of using the Specter Terminal in the final product). It also have a very tear jerking part that shows what happens if ken survived but Gabby died in ME2. It is a shame that the developers didn't included in the game.

It´s unfair that you can´t invite them to the party on the citadel!

Nobody knows. Nobody has ever chosen that. Nobody has ever considered they can actually chose that. Bioware has not even programmed any dialogue nor any animations for such an event.

It depends on how many missions you complete before going through the Omega IV relay. If you complete only a 1 or 2, only half the crew dies (including Kelly Chambers and Gabby). If you complete several, all of the crew except Dr. Chakwas dies. There's a pretty cool flow chart about it.

**Spoiler alert** Are those the same engineer from Mass Effect 2 ? because in my game, all my crew died attacked by the Harvester, I didn't finished the game yet thought so they might be just prisoner

I edited one of my Mass Effect 2 saves to import into ME3 after I heard Donnelly say "I wish Gabby was here" (in Mass Effect 3). It bummed me out that much.

Gabby, Ken and even Jenkins from ME1 are way more interesting than Jacob and James.

Early in the game if you head to the Citadel in the Spectre office in the Embassies the terminal will have a entry that makes mention of the two being arrested by the Alliance choose to pardon them and they'll be assigned to the Normandy.

You must go to the Collector base right after your crew gets kidnapped, they will die if you don’t. Also, send someone to escort them to the Normandy.

Make sure all your side quests and non-essentials you want to do are completed before you go to get the Reaper IFF. You can do Legion's loyalty mission before the crew is kidnapped if you make it the first thing you do after bringing the Reaper IFF to the Normandy. As soon as the crew are taken, providing you've done everything you want to do, there's no reason not to set off through Omega 4. Doing so immediately will save Chakwas, Kelly and co, though a Horizon colonist will die instead.

There is if you use save editor, otherwise it depends on your approval with Ashley so she needs to be alive and in the squad and you need her to like you.

My thoughts on the EDI being part of the Normandy or a passenger. The Normandy is her body and her AI core is her mind/soul. If you transplanted your brain into another body somehow, you would still say that the original body was you, just as much as your new one. Same goes for EDI; she could hypothetically be transferred to another ship, but for now she is the Normandy.

When Gabby got shredded into that tube on my walk-through I was scarred.

They join after Palaven’s moon mission, but first you need to accept them in Spectre office.

It usually shows up at the terminal before the Surkesh mission (or at least during the first act of the game), but it wont be there the very first time you visit the citadel.

It was bugged, it’s been fixed now in the Extended Cut DLC.

Yea that was my strategy for the second playthrough. I figured Jack with loyalty and the upgrades was probably the best choice, and it worked out nicely.

It’s form N7 Digital Deluxe or Collector’s edition

Way it works is that you do the mission on the deserted collector ship after you get all characters but legion, then make sure that all loyalty missions are done before you do the reaper IFF mission. after you do the mission, activate legion and do his loyalty misson, so then you have everyone's loyalty before you do the joker segment, then do the final mission right after he joker part, then when you encounter the crew at the base, the normandy's crew will survive.

Well you can save them all either after the launch of the suicide mission or after 3 missions. Its around 3 missions is your limit, after that you will lose most of the crew members.

After you recruit legion, you have enough time to do Legion's loyalty mission (and Tali's if you haven't done it already) before the crew gets captured.

I'm not quite sure, but I think you can get them as soon as you have access to the spectre terminal... just keep checking it on the citadel until you have the option to release them.

Could you please share which boolean or integer need to be modified for that?
