Mary looks Beauty

"Where Did Our Love Go" was hardly bubblegum-pop, Mary ! It was an awesome sounding single that got your ears immediately; the production and arrangement sold it right out the box. People were tired of all those victimy, sad '"I got done wrong by my man" soul songs by black female artists. Mary Wells, one of my favorite Motown artists, did too many of those also but when she did something more positive and happy she got a smash #1 record (compare "My Guy" with its B side "Oh Little Boy (What Did You Do to Me)" and you get the idea. I really like Mary Wilson; met her once, and she was very friendly and also beautiful.

yes but the girls didn't like where did our love go. it was a decent track. but it's fair to say it lacked the same soul quality as , say, Let me go the right way (1962). some of the best selling songs in the world aren't necessarily the most amazing tracks, it's just that the masses choose to buy the single and when millions buy a single it becomes a huge success. i preferred the supremes 1962-1963.

@@notthefather3919 …. Oh I beg to differ!! We the public listen. We the public hear a song and we incorporate it into our lives. The artist is in a recording studio and they interpret the song and they perform it. But we the public can accept a song because it’s just the right music, the right lyrics, and the right voices. I remember when “where did our love go” came out and it did come out at the right time. It was different. It was a different sound. And I think it is still their best, alongside “back in my arms again.”

This must be 5 years old.

Mary was lying when she was asked about her and Diana. Diana never spoke to Mary again after Mary wrote the book Dreamgirls. I believe Diana did call her to see if she wanted to do the tour. We know how that ended!!!!!

Not true cause Diana did call her when her son passed. Also, Diana did speak to her when they did the Motown tour. Cindy Birdsong said they would talk sometimes and stop all of sudden. She said they always had an up and down relationship.

Loved Mary but ive noticed every video of her on youtube is her going on about the The Supremes, reliving old story, I understand it was her passion to a point but what about her supposed solo career? As i so far havent seen anything of her talking about that. Diana forged a career and moved on, im not saying she shouldn't reminisce but it does get a bit wearing talking about The Supremes and squabbles and cat fights and gowns.

Diane is her birth name, someone at the hospital made a mistake and put down Diana in the birth certificate. Her family and friends always called her Diane.

She’s pretty and speaks well, but she doesn’t always tell the truth lol

Diana Ross had more commercial appeal her voice was able to crossover more easily. But Mary Wilson hands down was a beautiful woman who aged gracefully.
