It just shows how much a toll her powers took on her emotional state. Needless to say, any living like that would be bound to be desperate to the point it would lead to insanity. By the time she lost Remy, all those years of pain, emotinal trauma and physical denial, Rogue finally snapped, which led to her actaully taking a life.

Bro Magneto is the onlyone in whole damn world that can provide her the thing she needs the most the human touch and Gambit understands that. He was ok and told her to lets remain friends but he was sad and rogue. That dance was symbol to her saying goodbye the thing she want the most and she is sacrificing that for Gambit. She love Gambit do much that she was willing to sacrifice that in the end. But couldn’t tell gambit that and he died without knowing that she chose her in the end.

Gambit was actually rather calm about it all things considered. He told Rogue he wouldn’t be in her back pocket for her if she went off to frolic with Magneto while still respecting that it’s her choice to make.

Her sobbing her eyes after she metaphorically cucked him in front of the entire world is something that she can never come back from or gambit can get over without him looking like the biggets simp bitch on earth. And when Rogue and Magneto are pushed together...and they well be we all see it and are dreading this canon but really not liked at all pairing. It's going to bomb huge. Gambit needs to not know who she is on any level and also be able to touch her because new son rizz.

Yeah gambit was like a cooler version of plastic man to me when it came down to it where he is kind of like Zorro with a mix of sly Cooper as he was always the coolest character in my opinion next to nightcrawler but truly he could be an asshole I can definitely say that for sure he will break a woman’s heart and runoff with her riches. But when it came down to rogue he loved her more than anyone. He was mature enough to be honest with himself along with the people around him as he was the Aladdin of the X-Men where his powers were the genie in the bottle.

But when Gambit died, she suddenly acts like she cared for him, even saying he is "his man" to the next episodes. Oh and this show forgot Gambit and Rogue's interactions from the old series. @@jmutube61191 She only liked Magneto because his magnetic power was able to protect against Rogue's siphoning ability, which enabled her to temporarily use other Mutants powers and even a humans knowledge. Rogue may have also kissed and danced with Erik, but in the end she chose Gambit over him, exclaiming that "Some things are deeper than skin" because she knew that though Erik was impervious to her killer touch, her heart truly belonged to Remy. It's not like she didn't love Gambit, she just couldn't touch him, which kinda forced her to be stuck with Erik until she realized that what Remy told her was true. Unfortunately, by the time that realization came to Rogue, it was too late as the sentinels had arrived and fucked everything up for everyone😅😭

I hate to say it, but I'm on Gambit's side. If I'm willing to put in the effort and loyalty, even my own life on the line to make someone happy, then I won't be a second choice to no one. I can't help but think of a line from Big Little Lies from Adam Scott when he confronts Reese Witherspoon for cheating. "I may not be the good-looking adventure ride, but there is something to be said for being there, for being truthful, and for being someone you can steadfastly count on."

I've just rewatched the whole 76 episodes, and even after Remy confesses his love to Rogue, they are not together. They flirt and he often goes out flirting with other girls (which is totally legit since they aren't a couple), while Rogue gets briefly with her first love Cody in an episode. I know it's different in the comics, i'm a die hard fan of the couple, but i'm not liking the way a lot of ppl are saying Rogue cheated bc she didn't, and she also talked with Remy about her relationship with Magneto before the dance. I do agree the dancing scene was a bit too much and kinda out of character, but that's about it

They gotta bring back Gambit and continue their story

@@THEFANBOY The most popular theory is that Apocalypse resurrects him as one of the four horsemen (maybe Magneto will be too). In that version Gambit is like an evil version of himself and does try to kill Rogue (although some viewers probably want her to get a bit apologetic so yeah I can see that). And if my theory is correct and Mystique is Valerie Cooper then I can't see her standing around to watch Rogue get killed by Grim Reaper Gambit. But overall I think after all this chaos and maybe more deaths, Cable will find the good sense to undo everything.

If you're just nice and that's all you are, that ain't enough. You need to be other things in addition to that. Like some women like funny guys or something like that. Also, looks are important. Look like you take care of yourself. If you really wanna find a woman that's compatible for you, get some hobbies that you really like where you interact with people. And the girls you wanna attract by being "not nice" always have some deep issues going on with them. Like daddy issues. Funnily enough, I can recall Rogue having daddy issues too💀 So don't even bother with them if you have to pretend to be something you're not.

This is really a touching moment after what happened at the end of the fifth episode 😢

To be honest if/when gambit comes back, i would like him to reject Rogue at least for a little while. You don't hurt someone then say i miss you and boom back together. I want to see the dynamic where either the roles are reversed and Rogue loves Gambit but he is in love with someone else or a start over for their relationship where Rogue discovers she can control her powers like later in the comics.

In the comics she broke up with gambit went on a 304 rampage then had gross gross disturbing sex with grampy magneto in an holocaust musecum No one liked rogue ater that and they seriously hated her after her avengers run. Then they tried to undo everything and take her back to her 90's icon best but...the damage was done. People in comics look at the attemnpt to keep up the old iconic rogue and gambit dynamic but her history in the comics makes her look like a giant kunt and that gambit is massively settling for trash. Gambit comes back and not only doesn't know who she is, but for some reason doesn't trust or want to be around her and even gets a power up that lets him touch her. Have him fall for another woman and have their relationship be him treating her like a stranger he barely knows and going so far as to let her get hit by some energy attack to save his new lady. Have him call her chere' and barely look at her while carrying her.

I would like it if Gambit came back and didn't have the foggiest idea of who Rogue or the Xmen are and have him be happy with someone else. Just Gambit the intergalactic thief or something. Rogue can't just rely on Gambit doing all of the work in the relationship. She not only threw him and their relationship away he died saving her when she tried to do a suicide charge over her grandpaboyfriend/fukbuddy. Start over from scratch but she's litterally got nothing to offer him and has to build a relationship with him from scratch. But the problem is that she's in a relationship with Epst...sorry, Magneto, who surived and she's doing the grieving ex thing and having gross sex. The moment when it hits home is when she automatically thinks or believes he's going to hit on her or try to cop a feel on her but he's completely ignoring her or when he calls a woman chere' and she goes to speak he's actually talking to another woman. Also in the comics, he first thing rogue does after learning how to touch people is to have a 304 phase and bang magneto. Litterally killed the characters popularity completely.

That's definitely possible. In the comics he could just charge his brain with kinetic energy which made him immune to mind and touch based powers. He also had Mr Sinister limit himself purposefully because he's one of the most powerful Omega level mutants

This is the most heartbreaking scene in all of X-men . Yet this has some of the best writing

Rogue speaking to Gambit: Gambit Alive = "your heart may beat for me, but I can't feel it." Gambit Dead: "I can't feel you, sugar." I know Gambit is already dead way before this episode, based on how Rogue and Magneto treat him.

Remy LeBeau - a class act. Even when he’s hurt. “Until then, we friends, mon ami. Just friends.”

5 seasons of Gambit being the *one* guy doing his utmost to make Rogue feel loved and she truly thinks that this love wouldn’t have worked out because she can’t sleep with him. Literally because of sx she dumped him. And that’s not to think about the fact that she didn’t even try alternatives before. Any anti-mutation device, thin layers of anything to protect him from touch, i bet that Gambit wouldn’t have any problems using toys to please her. But nah, *“i need that d-k Remi!“*

That mutant mystique set her up with that could shut her powers down was another time she jumped someone's bones so she could feel something. I don't like it but this trait is in character for her. Rogue has always looked for an excuse to deny remy. Comics imply she's attracted to toxicity because of her dad

if it makes you feel better, i did see gambit getting active in the intro sequence that omitted his title card, so there is a great chance that he's gonna come back

this reminds me of when they compared couples of a tv show i watched called Saved By The Bell it was between Zack And Kelly Vs. Slatter And Jessie like them Jean And Scott are the puppy love destiny type Gambit ad Rogue are messy chaotic with every reason in the world not to work but it does and that what makes it so mesmerizing

The story of gambit and rogue it’s tragic story similar to Wanda and vision Well gamit alway has one card on his heart its symbolism for rogue his queen of hearts I think with this storyline, I think they went with the death of Superman storyline and what happens he regenerates so many possible ways of bringing him back gambit in the future

I always love them in the comics cause they would always try and find a way to be together and it made my heart soar!

Even if you go back to the old seasons gambit told her before that he loved her

Fun Fact: did you know in comics one of gambit power make a shield on his mind that self can stop touch power based so if he learn this ability he could touch rougue withtout power steal but seem like he did not learn he has this power YET

There's no doubt that this is a very raw and emotional scene. But in the X-men comics and movies, there always seems to be some kind of technology that's used to nerf the X-team for plot purposes until they can remove their collars or get out of range of the dampening field, etc. I've never understood why Rogue doesn't just borrow a nullifier collar or some other gadget to stop her powers temporarily so she and Gambit can have some personal, intimate time and allow their relationship to blossom.

Moments like this make it a chore to watch this show

@leoistari Didn't mean she had to cheat on him and backstab him like that. Especially not with Magneto. I adore Rogue but this was unforgivable. In the comics, both of them were at fault. Here, Rogue is largely at fault. The writers of this show ruined her character. If anything, I feel sorry for Gambit. Like Rogue, he changed his ways and he chose Rogue because he genuinely loves her. And he used to be a player before he met her. He used to hang around with prostitutes until he got together with Rogue. He thought he had found someone that really appreciated him and in the original series, she did. She also loved Gambit. But no, she had to turn against him due to her powers. If she truly loved him, she would have not left him for Magneto.

I understand Rogues point of view struggling to deal with her abilities which isn't easy but still could have made more of an effort to accept love Gambit who truly genuinely loved Rogue unable to touch but yet touch the hearts of many including Gambit and that kind of love runs deeper than skin.

The way I'd do it is by chatting up a bunch of women using the Gambit charm. Let Rogue see the line waiting out the bedroom.

The irony is that Gambit has the power to resist Rouge's siphon power, at least he does in the comics. Hopefully, upon his eventual return, they reveal that.

Fuck just knowing what's to come makes this scene hurt so much more than it needs to

This is one of the reasons why I think the original series is far, far superior. Gambit and Rogue were so great together. They had such beautiful and amazing chemistry. Then the writers of this show just completely ruined their bond by making Rogue having a fling with Magneto, cheating and lying to Gambit. If Cyclops and Jean can have a successful relationship then why not Gambit and Rogue? They deserve so much better than this.

Jean and scott can actually touch each other and love each other despite all of drama, it is understandable why rogue went with magneto, rogue and gambits relationship is tragic because they can never truly love each other, being with magento gave rogue a chance to experience something she’s longed for a long time it makes sense as far as character development.

No, I'm sorry. Rogue going with Magneto just never made any sense at all. Rogue even mentioned Genosha here, when they wore the collars that switched off their powers. Rogue could have found another way to deal with her powers, instead she goes to Magneto who she and the X-Men were enemies with.

Rogue knows she can snap on a power dampening necklace to temporarily take away her powers.....Right? Everyone else gettings one put on them.

Is not making things official a modern thing? I didnt even know americans did that.

I feel like Rogue chose Magneto at the start because his powers allowed her to experience the intimacy and touch that others can have with their respective partners that she can’t have. Like in the original animated series, she contemplates doing Dr. Adler’s cure because she didn’t wanna live her life without being able to touch someone. She wants Gambit in every sense of the word but she can’t, because she’s afraid she’ll hurt him, and she hates that she can’t be with him the way she desperately wants to. Ugh, these writers are killing us here. They better bring Gambit back.

This was Gambit at his most emotional.

Maybe is painful for her, but i don't understand why she doesn't use a collar to touch gambit

It is comic accurate they couldn’t touch for a longgggg time until she learned to control her powers. There were moments in between when they could touch briefly because of circumstances but they couldn’t until she mastered her power.

Goth Rogue really worked though. I kinda wished more shows used that, it makes a lot of sense for her character, and it gives the author/artist so many fun designs to play around with.

How do you know that the relationship is over? right before he tells Rogue they will be just friends, he calls her Mon Ami. Gambit calls everybody Mon Ami, and only ever calls Rogue, Chere.

That is kinda like how relationships are nowadays
