Their love is also genuine with no ridiculous love triangles and needless drama. I love Scott and Jean but hate the endless love triangles between them and Logan...and Emma. In the very first episode, we see how easy it is for Gambit to get anyone he wants, and yet he commits himself to someone he can't touch throughout the entire series, that's what makes him compelling and why Rogue can't hate him.

Their relationship may have been a little rocky, but there's real love and passion behind it on both sides. I watched the two- part "Reunion" episode today, and 6:55- 7:04 was so touching. It reminded me to text my own beautiful "Rogue" and let her know I was thinking about her. And, dang, that killer catchphrase Gambit uses in the next clip, SO FREAKING COOL! I hated it when they never let Gambit and Rogue happen in the live action films while they let Cyclops and Jean to happen in both cartoon and movie. I would've imagine they testing out the chemistry between Anna Paquin and Taylor Kitsch, but I guess they've enjoyed giving Gambit rare respect and to anybody that aren't named Wolverine.🤦‍♀️

The X-MEN animated series was one of the best cartoons I've watched since I was a child watching Looney Tunes with Buggs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.

Hated how the Origins Wolverine is the only film with theatrical appearance of Gambit and then afterwards Gambit gets tossed again. Even Taylor Kitsch aka Gambit deserves better.

U gotta love the fact that when Rogue chooses to go n save Senator Kelly Gambit goes despite not caring about him y… bcuz he loves Rogue

Their dynamic is so good. There is no way XMen 97 will let it continue on, they will find some way to nerf all this sexual tension between them and undercut their relationship.

@unbiasedramsfan8647 it's funny you say that because I can see Disney doing that or painting Gambit as extremely toxic masculine, who Rogue leaves, and she pursues a female partner. Gambit and Rogue, imo are one of if not the best Marvel relationships there are. They choose each other sacrifice for each other. Their love is believable, and in this very show, their romance progressed.

Fun fact. Gambit and Rogue’s relationship inspired Archie Sonic comics to ship Antoine and Bunnie Rabbot since they both have some similarities

I always loved how happy Gambit was to be with Rogue despite her powers preventing skin to skin contact ❤ It's weird rewatching this 90's animation and voice acting now as a 30-something instead of a kid, especially with how much more polished and better "kid's" media gave gotten. But the X-Men '97 reboot came a-callin' and they had _better_ have this killer pair!

Rogue is one character who is truly underrated be it with or without gambit considering they had hugely different backgrounds,rogue was a true runaway from her home very early from her age where as gambit lost his family(this has different variation) so even without them being together rogue alone would have made sense,their romance is just like an ice cream at the end of menu,not exactly required and one thing pretty cool about him though i hate to admit is even being a thief he was better than a couple of other x men and since rogue could absorb other people's power/energy from way too early was another reason it would not have worked out
