    Any one else notice that they kept the Damage to Gambits jacket from the danger room from the first episode, for the majority of his appearances in the 90's cartoon? In the mall his Jacket is undamaged and whole across the bottom but after it gets ripped in the middle in danger room that rip is almost always there on his jacket in the show..

    The version from the 1990s X-Men TAS still remains the best on-screen adaptation of the character. From both movies and other animated adaptations.

  • @JDA2185

    @JDA2185

    Жыл бұрын

    @Johnny Testinator Yeah, that's what I think too. The best version. It had the best design and the best and coolest voice acting. What other video and when have we spoken before?

  • @JDA2185

    @JDA2185

    Жыл бұрын

    @Johnny Testinator "This show had great depictions of X-Men characters but was a bad X-Men show." I'm guessing you're referring to X-Men Evolution here? It could've been good, the idea of the world not knowing about mutants and Xavier recruiting mutants for his team and training them was a good idea. The idea of making the established team kids with Logan being their main supervisor was bad however. In the end, the series did what the movies did: it tried to capitalize on the popularity of one character, namely Wolverine, and that's a cheap way of doing things. I can't say I remember our previous conversation, sorry. Maybe we can have such conversations again though :)

  • @JDA2185

    @JDA2185

    Жыл бұрын

    @Johnny Testinator Yes, you're right. They did manage to create a darker tone made for more mature audiences but the rest of it was simply a bad idea. The 1990s series, after all this time remains the best on-screen adaptation of the X-Men story, better than the movies too. Which speaks volumes about Hollywood's degradation since the late '1990s early 2000s. But then again, that is also part of a political agenda. Destroying what was before, but only what was good and beautiful of course, is actually a major component of the Marxist social engineering and restructuring. But as we can see the communists in the US use it in other areas of activity too.

  • @JDA2185

    @JDA2185

    Жыл бұрын

    @Johnny Testinator I agree with you on the 1990s series but I don't agree with you on Wolverine and the X-Men. For one, they did what the movies did, they made the whole show almost entirely about Wolverine while reducing the rest almost to filling and they took Cyclops from the last movie and used him like that, a mess because of losing Jean. What is it with this theme of Jean dying and Cyclops remaining a mess because of that? Can't they think of anything else? They did this too in the 1990s series but they didn't made an entire show about it... LOL. They didn't stretch that for the entire show and made Cyclops' character only about that. But the fact that again they gave Wolverine the role he had in X-Men Evolution was so lame. Plus, the characters design. Wolverine in particular was caricaturized the worst. Plus the dialogue was garbage, I hated it. In fact, I hated Wolverine and the X-Men a lot more than X-Men Evolution. What was needed after the 1990s series was a similar one but with the darker tone made for a more mature audiences that the other two used. But just leave the goddamn team as it it, don't try to capitalize on the popularity of one character to not have to do proper character development for the other characters and in the process also ruin what the team is about and what it's like in the comics.

  • @JDA2185

    @JDA2185

    Жыл бұрын

    @Johnny Testinator Yes, the dark tone is something they got right with the two series made after the 1990s one was finished. When the 1990 series first started a darker tone was not allowed and the show's writers and producers had to fight tooth and nail to make it as mature as it was because at that time the studio CEOs (or whatever they're called) kept claiming that such darker tones would not be liked by children... Which is so stupid on so many levels... LOL. After the movie came out however I think they felt safe to make darker toned ones. But that was about all they got right with those two TV animated shows. The fact that they make Wolverine the center of the show and push the others to the side plus what they make out of Cyclops is a huge mess up of everything. The dialogue is something I really hate, especially in Wolverine and the X-Men. I just don't like that, it promotes or normalizes the sh.tty spiteful malicious behaviors from today... Especially from women. You're right about the classic comics though and for me those are the only true stories and characters. Everything they came up with in the last 10-12 years is so much a distortion of the classics that they are something else completely. What should have been done shortly after the 1990s animated series was finished was a regular TV show. But that would've required people who were invested into these stories and characters and I think the writers of the 1990s animated series should've been brought in to write a regular (not animated) TV show. But again, this would've required who were totally invested into those stories and characters and who would've put the effort into making everything right. But that's what the X-Men story needed, a show not so much a movie. BTW, regarding Colossus and Nightcrawler I think they both should have been inducted into the team in the 1990s series. That "fixed team" concept for me is a huge drawdown. Colossus and Nightcrawler deserved a place in that show and also I think Deadpool should've also been featured in it.

    He's closer to villain territory in Wolverine & the X-Men. His first mission was to steal a device that shuts off mutant powers, and he does so knowing that his employers are crazy, anti-mutant scientists. His second appearance is just straight-up terrorism. He blows up the core infrastructure of Genosha, more than likely causing tens of thousands to suffer without water or power.
