I think I know how. Its implied that herc will go to earth to cause trouble. This could cause the perception of greek gods to shift and with that perhaps return them powers and dignity that comes with worship.

The irony, Zeus and Hercules were always portrayed as muscular in ancient Greek art and Thor was portrayed as chunky in Norse.

If you look at some of the deleted scenes, it actually turns out that they nixed the idea of having Zeus be a kind and understanding god who's worth emulating and who voluntarily offers Thunderbolt to Thor. Russell Crowe is terrific in those deleted scenes. I liked that concept better.

Did you read the What If comic from the '70s or '80s where Thor and the Avengers battled Odin and Loki in Asgard? Great story, and the final version of Thor at the end was priceless.

although i admit this one had a campy kid movie vibe it was a fun watch especially the hammer ride had a good belly laugh at that one and the god butcher was definitely a show stealer cant wait for Loki season 2 and the next main films

I find it hilarious that Brett Goldstein is playing Hercules. I just imagine Hercules speaking like Roy Kent and cussing like a sailor.

I really wish we got a legit trilogy with an overarching villain out of Thor. Love and Thunder alone COULD have been an interesting way to start off a trilogy of gods and monsters in the MCU

Idk it makes perfect sense to me from the semi mythological angle and from the marvel comics angle. Zues is shown here to be very much capable and maybe once did take things seriously but realistically hes the head of the all fathers and hasnt dealt with the hell the asgardians did as far as we are aware. As much as we hate to admit it; Odin is kind of the same way Zues is but the way he coped with trauma of his younger years was adopting the son of his enemy and had to come to terms that his kids were super messed up. Zues would be fat, hedonistic and overconfident with his level of power.

That would actually be a bit horrific if Thor did that. With as strong and tough as he is, just picture him wading into a big battle like the one in Endgame, where all he's doing is grabbing a person's head in each of his hands, squeezing, dropping them after their heads explode, and then grabbing another couple people to do more of the same.

3:40 when I see that part, I was like "seriously they do that to Zeus?" This Is like a parody movie than a superhero movie. The secret scene was the most serious/accurate part. "When did we become the joke?" = When Disney bought us.

When Zeus flicks Thor's clothes off, I only remembered the girls fainting. On 2nd watch, the guards gets weak in the knees too. And I find that even funnier.

​@@truegamer2819 How narrow minded can you be. There are plenty reasons why he doesn't need to be buffed. Sure you can build muscle at that age. But do you know how long that takes? Scratch doing it the way Hemsworth did it because taking steroid is out of the question at his age. That would be detrimental for his health. So then he should train very long and hard, put his body through misery to build muscle and for what? Why should he do that for this one movie? Russel Crowe has zero obligation to get ripped for this one movie while he has multiple other movies going where him being buffed wouldn't even make sense. What you should have said is, I wish they used a different more in shape actor for Zeus than Russel Crowe

I know this comment is old, I wonder if it is more than Zeus underestimating his opponent and losing to his ego than Thor actually defeating him himself. If you look at Zeus right before he is injured by it, he is all cheerful like his victory happened the moment he threw his weapon.
