There is some insconsistence with this story. In the original show when Magneto was introduce it was clear that he never had met the X-men before, including Rogue. Then again, the show always had some plot holes when comes to it's continuity (ex: Angel was introduce as new mutant to the X-men but episodes later established that he was one of the founding members).

I was planning on paying to watch, but after this my mind is permanently changed. Let Rogue and everyone watching know that they shouldn't walk all over people like that and let her repent by watching Gambit be happier without her. What Rogue did is one of the "1 strike, you're out" kind of things you can do in a relationship, no point fighting over someone so unworthy. I love Remy and I love this couple. Rogue sure messed up BIG time, but I think it's true to her comic self (which was always far from perfect), and also realistic. Her emotions got better of her and she made a mistake, we have all been there one way or another. And she suffers because of that, rightfully so. I like this plot. It's mature and complicated.

God this whole Maggy/rogue thing is just a disaster, hated it how they retckoned it into the series.

You know, it is better that the two talk about things in a mature way rather than hide things from each other. That's what is important here. While sure , they will or they won't is always a thing, in this this shows that the melodrama of characters in love, having difficulty, doesn't have to be screaming match, cussing, physical aggression, and displays a more socially acceptable way to resolve relationship conflict. By the time she met Magneto she would have been of age...still kind of creepy, but I do give her some grace since he was the only guy she could be with...without ending up dead. I think Bobby is still in that coma

@@kjdnyhmghfvb She didn't get Ms.Marvels power till she was 17-18 Rogue didn't know how to use her powers well so she was in her early teens. Around 13-14. She at best was groomed and then deflowerd at the age of 15 by a 60 year old Magneto.

That doesn't make much sense for Rogue. Electromagnetic powers prevented her from feeling Magneto's touch, and body. It should be like touching a man and she imagined her experiencing another person.

imagine taking one of the least liked plot points in comic history, and not only doing it but making it worse cause at least in the comics when it was tried (once, a dumb forced one-night stand) in 2011 the age gap was closer (rouge was older and magneto had been de-aged a few times) + aspects of grooming and abuse. Wow, just wow. So not only gross and creepy, just plain horrible and a complete retcon of the story/characters to push this awful plot point. Who thought this was a good idea?

While im with everyone in the comments that their relationship is foul its very true to a storyline in the comics and the fact they told this story in their revival takes balls to do i cannot be mad at them giving flaws beyond her powers that shes quite selfish yet sympathetic. Gambit is my favorite X-Men though so seeing him so torn up about it makes me sad as well.

The Gambit-Rogue-Magneto didn't happen until the mid and late 2000s, and even then it made no sense. Throughout the 90s nothing was ever shown or stated that there was a love triangle and the AoA is not canon, it's popular for other reasons.

After Gambit joined,whenever X-Men tried to reason with Magneto, Rogue was usually the one that could reach him emotionally. This has been a part of her story throughout the 90's. Do I even need to bring up Joseph?

I know this part was serious and concerning in a way but I was in tears when they showed the side effects of....changing their relationship to something more intimate. My dude Magneto couldn't handle it, her powers were too much sksksemdksn

Its explained in the comics. The inhibitor collars cause pain and PTSD with extended use. Rogue gets very bad migranes and can't wear them without painkillers.
