He’s right in the comic Books there has been moments where rogue and magneto would show a lot of chemistry. I mean you gotta understand that in the animated universe she still is at odds with her feelings for gambit because of her powers. But magneto has some history with her and if it’s anything like the age of apocalypse reality there’s a way for them to have a relationship. In the age of apocalypse universe, magneto and rogue got married and had a kid who they named Charles….(it was to honor Charles Xavier who died saving magneto’s life which is what started this parallel timeline) any magneto used either his powers or type of technology to allow himself to be able to physically touch a rogue. Now if we’re going to go buy comic books eventually rogue will have a type of nerf/buff to her powers. She will no longer be able to take on more than one person at a time and will no longer retain any residual memories of that person…. Which she can now delete herself. Yet the up side is that last time I checked, she could also control her powers finally….. or more of precisely she can limited her draining ability to the point where it has no noticeable effect on person. Oh now for a while now gambit and rogue have been married in the comic Books so you don’t have to worry too much.

The two eventually became partners in love and crime-fighting, solidifying their bond by becoming husband and wife. They even went on to have children together, marking a new chapter in Rogue's life.

By this time, Genosha had developed technology in the form of a collar that would dampen her powers, so...is that technology unavailable? Hell, Genosha could make a killing selling it to mutants with powers like Rogue's.

I heard in the comics that rogue did at some point learn to control her power enough that she could touch another person, but if memory serves, it took a lot of effort and could only happen in intervals. It would be a beautiful episode if they could manage to make that happen. It’s the one barrier that I think continues to taunt rogue?

I've only read the story about Rogue and Gambit's honeymoon. At least from there I realized that these two cherish each other, and the same Gambit can't touch her, but he loves her anyway. At the same time, these two help each other in every way. I didn't want to watch this series, I wasn't interested in the X-Men of the 90s in general, but I saw that Rogue and Gambit were here together. Until a certain very strange moment, which definitely spoiled the impression. Damn, Madame so easily abandons a man who loves her without a trace with all the pros and cons for the sake of an old bastard. But hey, she can touch him! I don't know, it feels like a spit in the face from a loved one, let's see what happens next. Man... I was cautiously optimistic about this show after the first episode. I am not a fan of the garishly bright, cheap, flash-looking animation, but the fight choreography and the way they're handling Cyclops and Storm was encouraging. I especially LOVED that they seemingly kept Gambit as his usual smooth, flirty self. I was so afraid that in this day and age they'd see him as "problematic" and either cut him out of the majority of the series or completely change up his personality. But never in a MILLION YEARS did I suspect that they'd ever do a Rogue/Magneto thing. 🤢🤮 WHO even ASKED for this?! This wasn't even popular in the comics! WHY are they pushing this? I don't even want to watch any more. Even "if" she decides that she wants to be with Gambit this is too big of a betrayal. I don't like that they had Rogue sneaking around like this. ☹️

Gambit should just go for Psylocke and call it a day. 🤷🏾‍♂️😂😂

@@DrUmsLeviathan the voice actress is the same . She is 64 so we can't expect her to sound the same but to me she sounds the same . Same goes for the VA of wolverine . Storm's voice sounds the same to me as well .

Apparently this is canon in the comics, I was also quite surprised, have never heard of this before. She does get back with Gambit eventually. Some stories are of her and Magneto having a kid as well. Magneto and Rogue have similar powers of magnetism somewhat, that's how he is the only one that can touch her.

If you read age of apocalypse. Rogue and Magneto fell in love when Rogue was able to touch with Magneto Gambit got jealous and got broken hearted because Rogue choose Magneto and left. Hence became part of the externals that he lead

The truth is X-Men comics have always been extremely messed up. People switch bodies, date each other's parents, one of the main subplots is a guy trying to get with his friends wife, and Xavier was training kids to be his political agents since the 60s.

I wonder, did they pitch her voice up in post-production, or was Lenore Zann instructed to do that to make the character sound more youthful? 🤔 In XmenTAS, she has a deeper/lower, more womanly tone--more akin to Lenore's actual speaking voice. In 97, it's like they said, "Dial that back a bit." Not a complaint per se, just something I noticed

I forgot in the comics that Rouge and Magneto had a thing. Why the hell did they do that in the comics? That is so wrong so very wrong making Rouge and Magneto a couple. I really hope this is misleading and they are not doing the same thing in animation.

Its not like one version is more detailed than the other(but those eyebrows don't help much), but the new version seems softer is the only way I can describe it and the colors seem brighter in tone, it's just a few small things, but it's the small things that usually stand out the most

Episode 1 is cool!!! Episode 2 got complicated with Magneto. The show seemed like it was about the XMEN, this one seems like it's about Magneto. It changed the momentum. But let me keep watchin and see where it goes. I'm still just happy to see more XMEN, especially this style.

WARNING!!! SPOILERS TO THE ORIGINAL X-MEN ANIMATED SERIES!! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I really do like Rogue in the X-Men animated series due to her very compassionate nature but honestly...I never liked how she treated Gambit. Despite his flirty and very charming nature ^^ he has shown nothing but devotion and unconditional love towards her, has even told her he was willing to let himself get injured just to kiss/touch her, told her that he LOVES her and the two even shared a kiss but she just doesn't seem to recuperate his feelings or take them as seriously as in one episode (of the original series) when her first boyfriend Cody returns she is willing to return to him without hesitation when he asks if she still wants to be with him. Now in the new series just when it looked like Rogue and Gambit were in a relationship they had to throw in the typical 'love triangle' to make it more dramatic and worst of all with Magneto. I honestly feel so bad for Gambit right now as it puts Rogue in a negative light as she has no right to keep treating him like this and playing with his emotions. Even if the Rogue and Magneto thing happened in the comic (throws up) doesn't mean they had to do it here in this new series. I am glad that Rogue and Gambit finally tied the knot in the comics and hope to GOD it stays that way. But honestly, I really do think in this new series, that Gambit needs to move on from Rogue and find someone else.

⁠@@MoviesR4Life1Honestly I didn’t like Rogue in the comics for a while after she left Gambit to freeze to death in Antarctica even if she regretted her decision and went back to try and find him it was still shitty of her to do it but she moved on and Magneto 🤢🤮 and a part of me still resents her for that a bit even if she came to regret it she still made the decision to abandoned him. If they pull the same crap with Gambit in the animated series I will be upset. Gambit deserves better than this one.

true, sorry but this is wayy too angular and bright, and not as detailed, the original 90s series had a pretty low budget so the animation wasnt stellar, but the drawings themselves were better.
