I'm brazilian and and since my childhood love them. But with the mature age I knowed the talent of Dean Martin, like a actor and a brilliant singer. His voice and songs are fantastics and are betwin my favorites.
Jerry once said a few years earlier on the Merv Griffin show that if this was ever going to happen ... It would be on Dean Martin terms. He said because Dean was a very private person, he Jerry wouldn't do anything to make him uncomfortable.... This was definitely on Dean terms for sure, of course Jerry was taken back by this act of kindness on Dean part. He was very surprised too.
Dean Martin was a class act.what a great singer!

From what I remember at the time , they used to be partners in show business . Then Dean wanted to be on his own and , to the public , the split wasn't pretty . But , from what Jerry said they were still good friends , but didn't let the public know because to them it's NONE OF OUR BUSINESS . He said they PRIVATELY kept in touch . Now when I was little all kids our age loved Jerry when he was on his own with the " Hey , lady ! " . He was like the Pied Piper of comedy to kids .
Next Sunday will be 45 years since that appearance.

What a reunion of the best celebrity partnership....but Sinatra grabbing center stage deminished the moment
