I know Martha Stewart may not ever read this but I'd like to thank her and her team for posting these informative videos. I prepared the parchment paper turkey, her method, and it was the best turkey I've ever fixed in 30yrs of cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for my family. It was tender, juicy just as promised. My mom recently was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and I was determined to fix a feast to remember and thanks to Martha, I gave my mom a terrific holiday meal. So, from my house to yours, Thank you Ms Stewart!

I have made my turkey using the cheesecloth method for over 30 years and we’ve never had a dry bird! The only difference is that I add rosemary to the melted butter and then I dunk the cheesecloth in that mixture. The flavors are incredible!!!

I love to brine my turkey when I thaw mine. It makes the thawing process easy and I like that the meat steam cooks under the skin to make it moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. I've definitely got to try the parchment method of baking along with it and see what kind of reactions I receive this Thanksgiving.

I have never made a turkey before but finally decided on this one and it did not disappoint. My turkey came out perfect from the way it looked to the juiciness and the stuffing was delicious as well, my first time with that too. (I did the first turkey in this video)

I do the turkey 101 every year the only thing I do different is I bring it with whole milk instead of water because the milk helps break down the tissues otherwise I follow it step-by-step and it always turns out perfect every year thank you for the cheese cloth tip I really think that makes a difference

I wish Martha Stewart Living was still on so she can show us how to hatch and raise an organic Turkey from an egg until he is plump and delicious enough for the holiday pan and how to humanely dispatch him and give us inspiration on how to use the beautiful feathers for tasteful and unique autumn decor.

You wouldn’t want to eat it then. When I was a kid, my dad got a young turkey raised for several months for thanksgiving and my siblings and I named him and fed him and when it was time to kill it we had such a fit that my parents had to go buy a turkey and take the other one back to the country.😂

It’s hilarious to remember how many home mom suburban cooks just placed the turkey in the oven on 250° and literally cooked it from 10 am-1pm covered. Then cranked up the oven to 400° and finished it off uncovered for another hour. It was a sure way to have it get dry. Why didn’t they just cook it covered for 2.5 hours @ 350° then finished it off uncovered for the usual 30 minutes? Anyone else experience this?

I'm definitely going to try with a very small turkey that's no more than five to seven pounds with the parchment paper. Seems like a good idea the one thing I don't like is how she always handles raw meat with no gloves on touch other items that cross-contaminating with salmonella can be a nightmare. I think anytime you touch raw meat you should always have on gloves especially if you're going to be recording
