I started watching you on PBS when I was 14. I'm 61 now. I am a chef and certified canner. When I teach others they say I'm alot like Martha Stewart. Lol! I tell them she was my teacher...in a way. I direct them to you to learn more. I cherish my time with you. Thank you so much for being a great teacher. Lady Kristine

My favorite burger is a mushroom Swiss burger, and I absolutely love meatballs. My aunt used to make giant porcupine meatballs. Probably called porcupine because they had rice in them. Thank you Martha

Vegies were on my daughters hate list when she was little. So I put peas in a meat loaf . Green beans in meat balls etc. Soon there was a small pile of peas on the side of her plate . 😁 Let it go, Rome wasn't built in a day and now her 30's she makes many meals with vegies as the main part of meals.

So wonderful. It makes me sad that Martha refers often to Big Martha. I am 80 and I still miss my mum and also her wonderful cooking. ❤ Very important. In New Zealand we must use iodised salt. When I was a tiny child my Dad who was a doctor used to point out to me women in town who had huge bags under their chins. He explained to me that we had no iodine in our soil and it had just been added to our salt to prevent goitre. That is correct to this day but I wonder if enough people watching cooking programs realise that.

I just LOVE watching you, Martha! In fact, I don’t watch TV anymore for learning how to cook with you! That meatloaf is like nothing I’ve ever made! Usually mine is a bag of Lipton onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and egg and bought stale breadcrumbs!!! YUK NOW! I’m making yours FOREVER! Love the other recipes too!!♥️

LOL …I made my meatloaf like you , Lipton onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup , egg … So glad to read your comments that Martha ‘s version is the gourmet version . I am going to make Martha’s version soon and retire my Lipton onion soup version.😁😁😁 It’s been a while since I made meatloaf. If I do well with the gourmet version, it will quickly become a biweekly staple on my menu. Thank you for sharing your experience with it !

I use two cans of tomato soup on top of my meatloaf. I used a large baking pan and put sliced carrots and potatoes on the sides of the meatloaf. Also add a can of water to the pan before I put it into the oven. My mom's recipe always included grated carrots too to keep it moist. I never tried adding celery or dried mustard. I do cover it with tin foil as it will splash while its cooking. I cook at 350 for 2 hours. The last half hour I remove the tin foil so it browns.

Unfortunately canned tomato soup has so many unhealthy additives & preservatives. That’s why Martha uses plain ketchup, dried mustard & brown sugar. Primal Palate is pure ketchup, no added anything.

✝ By this Gospel you are 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗗 *[by grace (alone) through faith (alone) and not of works, lest any man boast]* if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: *that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.* (1 Co 15:2-4) (Eph 2:8-9) ✝ For God so greatly 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒𝒹 and dearly prized the world, that He gave His One and only begotten Son, so that *whoever 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗦 in Him shall not perish (in hell) but have Eternal life (in Heaven).* (John 3:16) 𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝟮𝗢𝟮𝟮 𝗕𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬! Are you like, supposed to be able to disarticulate your jaw? How does one bite into a 10" high burger? Especially with a slippery tomato etc inside? I stomp my boogers flat as a pancake. They're for eating not looking at.
