Marlin Crawler RCLT Toyotas Out Wheeling Jeep Gladiator
Ойын-сауық
The long debate! Jeep Vs Toyota! In this episode you will watch @MarlinCrawlerMedia RCLT equipped Toyota Tacoma and 4 runner compared to @KrokemOutdoors Jeep Wrangler and the@DirtLifestyle and @TaylorGibleroffroad Jeep gladiators! Lets not forget @WillometMotorFab old school Wagoneer! In an effort to maintain the natural beauty of this area, there is only a small limited number of vehicles allowed to explore this area at a time and even less permitted to camp out here. Nate and his team#jeep #jeepvstoyota
The Marlin Crawler RCLT kit is a rock crawling long travel suspension kit for Toyota Tacoma and Toyota 4runner that enables these reliable vehicles to run 40 inch tire, smash whoops and crawl rocks like a champ!

“Nate’s older than me, by quite a bit actually” 😅 dang dude!!!
I’m team Tacoma! It’s easy to get a Jeep and throw bigger tires on it. Anyone can do that and everyone already has. Don’t be just like everyone else. Not everyone has a taco with 37’s or bigger. It’s a lot of work and you already did most of it! Fix the locker issue and get bigger tires. Cheaper than buying a Jeep imo. Your 1 of the original Tacoma content channels. Keep it going! That Taco is a keeper!

You right but jeep still have to beef up the inner axles spindles hubs gear up etc.....most die hard go d60 kingpin and 14 bolt rear or even custom housing.....most who just slap on 37 or bigger are mall crawler js😂😂😂😂
I vote Tacoma, with Marlin set up, yes it’s expensive but it’s unique.

Another great video Maxx. I don't know why, but it kinda disappoints me that your videos don't get more traction. You're a great creator and have such a unique way to tell your story. Good luck with the production company man. I'm gonna watch the heck outta whatever you post.

Yeah man, I would love to see some traction build behind the channel again. I haven’t been consistent enough lately and I think I’ve probably done a few to many sponsorship videos 😅

Mikes Tacoma was insane dude!
Its great to see Mike continuing his father’s legacy! I met Marlin a few times and he did the SAS swap on my Toyota. What Marlin did for Toyota crawling , Mike is doing for IFS Toyota crawling. Unbelievably great customer service at Marlin Crawler! Customer for life!
Elephant hill area is about 80 miles from Moab to the trailhead. It's one of my favorite trails. Something for everyone. I'm glad you found it. Too many visitors is the reason for the passes. Years ago you could just run it.

These are my absolute favorite kinds of videos that you put out dude. Amazing footage, excellent music, hilarious dialogue. SO good. I feel like you either gotta turn your Tacoma into something like Nate's, or get either a Wrangler JL or a Bronco maybe.

Hey bro, you seem like a genuine special person. I saw your fire fighter video and I relate… I’m going through what you did in the past, full time fire fighting is tough. I’m happy you found happiness and purpose. I don’t know you, but I love you bro. Live your life and experience it to the full. You deserve it. Keep that smile man.

Hey thank you. That’s very kind of you to say and I really appreciate it. Firefighting is a great job but a hard life, I’m hoping I can keep doing what I love and keep supporting my family without having to go back to the fire service. I miss the work but I know it’s not a healthy life for me.
Elephant Hill is such an awesome place! We took two Tacomas back in 2021. My 2014 on 33s (1.5" lift) and my friend's 2016 on 34s (and outfitted with a flippac camper). We only had a pass for one night to camp at Bobby Jo. First day we drove up to the Confluence of the rivers, then down to Bobby Jo. Second day we left out the south gate and took the road up the dugway through Bobby's Hole. That was a tough climb! We managed to make it out with no damage though. Definitely we need to go back and spend more nights there. The Canyonlands is one of the coolest places we've been in the country since we started traveling!
Did you go through the process to get the filming permit? I tried before EJS and it was too expensive to bother with and too many hoops to jump through.
I have driven both IFS and solid front axel. For serious offroading it’s solid front axel all the way unless you have portals or beefed up suspension like on Army Hummers. It would be nice if Toyota made solid front axel vehicles again for sale in the US.

Elephant Hill and the rest of that area is great for wheeling and exploring. Been through twice now and still want to go back one day. Also, a stock 4x4 Tacoma with sliders and skids can make it through Elephant Hill with no trouble, trust me 😉

Elephant Hill is still our favorite trail we have ran. Did it in our stock Wrangler Rubicon and had zero issues. Weird seeing it like this out there as it was 110°, 130° in the canyons, when we ran it in July '21.

Oooof. July would be brutal! I’ve always gone to Moab in June when it’s just starting to get hot. This was pretty nice, cold at night but otherwise really nice.
Bro. Do an extended range gas tank and extra cooling additions to the rav for no stops.

Full marlin crawler lift, installation, plus wheels and tires approximately $25,000. Im not sure you can fit 40” tires on that. A Jeep lift, installed, plus 40” wheels and tires approximately $12-15,000 Jeep wins! 😂

But the Jeep is 15k more from the get go. Still, they are impressive.
@jtfamilyadventures9610

@@IndependenceOverland that depends on options. If you want to compare apples to apples, then take a Trd pro versus a Rubicon both four-door four-wheel-drive MSRP. Toyota is 47,685 base price in my area. Jeep is 49,290. Or, pick a more base model. Toyota SR5 4 door 4x4 base options $38,204. Jeep Wrangler Willy’s 4 door 4x4 base options $39,985. Approximately $2000 mor for a jeep not $15,000. Jeep still wins! 😂
@IndependenceOverland
Жыл бұрын
@@jtfamilyadventures9610 I’d disagree to that. A TRD pro has everything offered. A Rubicon with a decent top on it and an automatic transmission pushes it up to 59k. 62k if you want any LED bulbs on it. I’m not arguing that it’s a better tool for the rock crawling job either way, but your easily near 80k for either build either way. I’m a Toyota fan boy, but the Gladiator is cool. If these new Toyota trucks still require a saw to fit a 33” tire I’m out!
@jtfamilyadventures9610
Жыл бұрын
@@IndependenceOverland well then we would never agree unless we had a detailed spec sheet with every unique detail. That’s not going to happen. In the end a Jeep is better suited for rock crawling and a Toyota is better suited for Baja style driving in its stock form. Buy and upgrade whatever fits your terrain and your budget. I try to never be a fanboy of anything. I try many things and use what works best.
