Poor Decision Leaves Group Battling to Escape the Mountain
Our scenic adventure quickly turned to a frozen nightmare as we struggled to take the easy way out on a remote trail in Moab Utah. We spent the night at Elephant Hill Park and in the morning we decided to take the long and scenic Overland route in order to avoid any potential issues with @WillometMotorFab Jeep Wagoneer. Unfortunately this plan backfired as we gained elevation and encountered heavy snow. The crew aired down as low as our tires would allow us and tried to push through. @DirtLifestyle and @KrokemOutdoors took turns trail blazing in their jeeps as the @MarlinCrawlerMedia Toyota Tacoma and Toyota four Runner as well as @TaylorGibleroffroad Jeep Gladiator pulled the rickety Wagoneer through some of the worst snow conditions I have ever encountered. After 20 hours we were practically out of fuel as daylight faded away. We emptied the last drops of fuel from our rotopax into our trucks and the mad rush to rescue members of our group before freezing temps set in began as we battled exhaustion and the elements to escape the mountain and find fuel for the Wagoneer. #offroad #overlanding #jeepgladiator

update, dope video to return to the channel on!
haha man I can relate to the wife will murder me thing. That looks like so much fun wish I could be out there!
Maxx, you could solid axle your Tacoma for less than a RCLT kit. Then get a tacobox for gearing and you would have a killer rig.
Bobby's Hole is a fun surprise challenge getting out
Just build your Tacoma with the Marlin set up. I did mine and I’m happy so far. Happy trails
Max,I've been following you for a long time now and this was a wonderful journey. I'm 59 and I wheeled with Mike's father a few times in Southern and Central California in the mi 90s. Have fun say hello to Mike and Nate. Semper Fi
That was AWESOME. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to do just that this Saturday.
Had I known that corner was a battle for Maxx’s approval, I could have turned sharper. I demand a rematch! 😂
Elephant hill is so dope! I cant wait to go back
God that marlin crawler is so unbelievably rad. Kudos to the teamwork! Well-done exiting a bad situation.
Looked like a long day with mixed emotions, but glad you all made it out and worked together. You can look back and laugh about this trip.
looks like a blast going from rock crawling to snow boarding when i get my rig done would love to join you all this fall thank you for sharing your trip

You bet it was a crazy adventure man! Loved it!
What an adventure. It must be very comforting to be with some the best of the best in the offroading community in a situation like that.
That was awesome 👍🏻
That’s wild brother! Glad y’all made it out ok 🤘🏽🙌🏼
Great video, reminds me some of the older content Maxx did.... keep the off road content going.
Such a f***ing awesome video 🤙
Jeep people = jeeple. Gotta love em all. So I'll ask , where's my jeeple?
I like both Toyota’s and Jeep’s, in my opinion either is great, the one thing I will say about the Jeep Rubicon 2dr I have, I’ve noticed is it keeps it’s feet planted on the ground better then any 4x4 I’ve ever owned Fromm the factory. The Toyota sr5 extra cab I had just didn’t have a problem even with one foot off the ground, the problem though is I thought and it gave you fare warning it may flip, scary, jeep never felt like it was going to flip. I waiting on an old guy to finally give into me and sell me his 1985 sr5 longbed standard cab, because I miss my old Toyota, they just feel so dam solid.
Why don't they use chains?
It's too bad Big Mike didn't get up front in the taco to break trail in the snow... I would have like to see what the independent front would have done.... Oh well, next time! 😜
Cool Marlin crawler, but I hate when people show up with a vehicle not in good working order. We all break down, but knowingly showing up with a busted ass vehicle is bad form and slows the whole group down dragging or winchin your butt the whole day.🤦

I believe it’s willomet channel or something like that
Which BFG tires were on that blue jeep making long runs up that hill? I also wonder if my stock 2019 Raptor Supercrew would have been able to make that trip?

What's with the drone flying?

We waited until we were out of the National park to fly the drone.
Yes that's exactly what will happen when you take a clapped out vehicle on a trail like that. It's good training I guess 👍

Used to be a buzz kill when you spend all day working on that one neglected rig during a trail ride.
Dude drive that old rig over a dumpster & it will stall just leave it 😒
epic maxi-dent....
No low gear and no lockers isn't an adventure vehicle. Garbage. I got in a similar situation on a snow/ice ride in Pickett. When we were dividing up into the easy trail/hard trail group, I was quizzing some of the new people on their rigs specs, and one guy in a V8 swapped YJ on full size axles legit thought lockers=locking hubs... The hard trail is down hill for the first half, and a climb out the 2nd half. We spent 9 hours winching him 50-75ft at a time the entire way out.
Fun, interesting video, but too bad you didn't bring a soccer mom in a Ford Explorer...she would have driven right through those tumbleweeds without a thought to the contrary...I'm a little disappointed in you guys...the camera man was right... :)
Do work big black
Last time I added a low range unit to a quadra trac it cost $75 used and took 10 minutes, just sayin😂
🤘😎🇺🇸
I don’t see why you didn’t want the tumble weeds to catch fire. You should have burned them out 🔥
