It's funny how the very limited community that has trouble keeping itself alive due to the prohibitive laws, rules, fees, government regulation and requirements tries to fuck itself out of existence by ratting on members for petty bullshit.
The community is so small because the requirements are so prohibitive.
If you want to attract experts just post a video of you doing something in the "not socially acceptable and generally approved way" and they will swim like flies saying how it should be done although nobody asked.
Dude, I have a 22 Tundra Platinum, Now I don't take mine off road, I have a 19 Jeep Wrangler for that. I don't seem to have the same issues as you do. Maybe go back to the Ford, Nice truck as well, but deal with the engine and transmission issues (that's the issues I had with my Ford). Just FYI the seat seatbelt sound wound will go away eventually... Just saying
I had one of the worst experiences at my academy, the instructors not only lied about our position opportunities, the instructors acted above us. While we were training, they acted as though we should know everything already, even though it was their job to teach us the material… I understand we need to study on our own which is what I did and I passed, but they would make us feel genuinely dumb for not knowing certain methods…
The fact you drive a Raptor and your “Toyota Guys” didn’t tell you to run away from that automatic Landcruiser says it all. Also you didn’t roll your window down to say hi to the other Toyota guy or so much as wave. Advice.. junk that automatic transmission, convert to a manual, and learn to drive it.

I put in 33 years in the fire service. All I got to say is there is some truth to bad politics in leadership and there are a-holes on the job. But there are a-holes everywhere. I would say the most important thing to realize is "KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO". Don't go in clueless about the job. Visit fire stations, talk to guys on the job. It's not for everybody.

With all the Tundra issues going on, I think Im going to buy one of the remaining Nissan Titans. Not as fancy as the Tundra i.e the super massive screen. But, I dont think I even want it. Kinda distracting.
Buddy I feel you, but didn’t give any examples. If you’re going to have a title that says what no one says about the FD, you need to give up the goods. Maybe others are feeling the same way but the video won’t help without telling people exactly what you experienced. Was is toxic leadership? How did you get bullied? Firefighting ain’t for everyone.

Never buy the first couple Years of something new. Look at the 2010 Lexus GX460. That engine had 200,000 recalls when it came out. It’s now considered bullet proof.
Literally everything you went through on your FD is what I’m dealing with currently. Super toxic work environment, dread going to work every third day, praying I get traveled to a different house with the hope I find my people that I mesh with, etc. Don’t know how much longer I can deal with it. Time will tell, but from the stress, anxiety, etc., that I deal with every third day, it gets old. Appreciate your video my friend.

The eco-boost thrashes the oil very early on. By 3k miles it's black syrup. You went cross country and back , while towing. The turbo oil lines are known to get clogged with dirty oil. Your oil was overdue prior to or during that trip.That's why full synthetic oil every 4500-5000k mils topes. Pennzoil Ultra platinum is a top teir oil. If money is no option then Amsoil is best.
Most new cars and trucks have those sensors built in. You can disable many of those by turning them off on you screen
Moral of the story always stay prepared for the unexpected, always have a massive amount of patience in your satchel ready to to use at any given moment and have confidence. Maybe Smaller bird for this guy would have been better.

Be careful on those used raptors. QC from ford is no longer existent and you’re not alone in having one blow up. We had a ford transmission blow with a small 1500 pound utility trailer going up a hill. For a 60k plus truck, you’re throwing your money away with ford. The Toyota will last.
