Bulletproofing My Toyota Tacoma with the BEST MODS MONEY CAN BUY!!

I wanted to completely transform my Toyota Tacoma to make it one of the worlds most capable and versatile Tacoma's ever seen. It needed to be capable of comfortably driving down the highway for long Overlanding trips. I needed it to be able to mob through desert terrain at high speeds and of course I needed this Tacoma to be unstoppable in the rocks! So naturally I turned to the masters at Marlin Crawler and asked them to transform my very basic and unreliable build into a bulletproof machine capable of doing all three! The Marlin Crawler #RCLT short for Rock Crawling Long Travel will allow me to fit up to 40 inch tires and rock crawl over huge boulders effortlessly while still maintaining composure on the road. The kit is built around Toyotas strongest and most reliable steering rack available from a 200 series Landcruiser. Next we ditched the finnicky electronic transfer case for a much more reliable FJ transfer Case which allows you to shift into 4wd manually. Marlin Crawler paired that with their legendary Taco Box crawler, a secondary transfer case that allows the Tacoma to crawl at incredibly low speeds. We wanted the truck to float over terrain so we added coil overs from locked off road as well as bypass shocks and adjustable bump stops. To ensure our 38 inch Mickey Thomson Tires stayed where they belong we also upgraded to Relation Racewheel's true Bead Lock Wheels. Last but not least we lightened the truck significantly by upgrading to lightweight, high clearance tube armor custom built by Walker Fab Lab in Dayton Washington.
These modifications will ensure that my Tacoma can go anywhere at a moments notice and will likely out perform almost any 4x4 truck on the trail!

It depends on what you enjoy doing with your Tacoma. I’m my opinion the best beginner package is a good set of Coilovers, UCAs, leaf pack and some 35s. With trimming of course. That should get you to most of the places you want to go. If you want to go anywhere just skip all of that and do RCLT from Marlin Crawler
