We'll Never Forget these 2 Days on the Trail! - Slick Rock Trail
Previously on this adventure we met up with some good friends to take on some scenic and challenging forest trails, did a little camping and we even had to overcome a few challenges along the way. In this episode, we will put our rigs to the test even more, explore some more of the beauty California has to offer, search for another epic camp site, of course eat some good food and yes, even encounter some more challenges. #offroad #overlanding #camping

Thanks Brad for putting this together. I know how difficult it is to film drive and edit videos for KZread and Instagram. You are appreciated brother.

I agree. I've seen many youtube videos where some ppl act like they're drunk on the trail just because they can crawl it. I like Brad's group, they're respectful and good ppl to be around with.

Even when the trail doesn't reciprocate!
Thanks for making these videos. I would also like to say that the audio experience is just as good as your videos. I enjoy the sounds of the tires grinding through the grit of the dirt trail, over the rocks, engines revving, suspensions creaking and tweaking. All of these sounds help immerse the viewer into the video creating a premium experience. Keep up the great work.

Thank you! I learned that many years ago, it's just not the same if you can't hear the vehicles rolling along.
I enjoy those little hints to people who might not know to put their fire out and pick up their trash especially with more trails closing for public access each year because of that kind of misuse

I have been watching your channel for a year now and I’m so glad I found Trail Recon. I just picked up a 2012 Jeep Wrangler in Idaho and had the guys at 4 Wheel Parts help me build it out. Soon I’ll ship it to Kauai Hawaii were I live so the adventures can begin. Next year July I’ll ship it back to the mainland and hit some of these amazing trails. Thanks Brad for all your hard work on creating amazing content.

Congrats on the new Jeep!
Probably my favourite video to date, you can see everyone is experienced in the way they handle their rigs, but what I liked the most was the team stayed with the team and helped one another when things got difficult or sometimes broke.... In australia it's a lot more difficult, its either banned or so remote and hard and hot that it becomes dangerous to go out alone..., when things go wrong, your really are on your own... zero comms. and 100 km from mankind... thanks for sharing, I really must come over and experience it. It is really beautiful...
So as I sit and watch your video, I find myself in complete ahhhhhh. I always end up watching it two or three times. The first time as a Jeeper, enjoying the video and all the lines and obstacles Next, I get my pen and paper and take notes. I take notes on camera angles, commentary, and over all story telling. This is not to copy what you do but to learn from you and have the ability to put out a better product for my own channel. Your a true Jeep legend. Thank you Trailrecon
What a great way to start the weekend! Trail Recon video and then off to the Mountains to play!

Laid up after surgery and binge watching Trail Recon! BEST ever KZread channel!!!!
We see these bright yellow lights coming at us, so we pull to the side and Trail Recon and crew passes us. Cool. Never expected you guys there. I was feeling a little small with my 31” tires as you guys rolled passed with your monster rigs.

How difficult would you say this trail is for a CJ with a 2.5 in lift and 31s?
@robsventure7448
4 жыл бұрын
@@JerimieZamora Going from HWY 4 would be difficult on 31s. but I bet you could do it from Lower Blue Lake to Hwy 4. I only got hung up in one spot and a had I taken a line 1 foot to the left I would have been fine.
@JerimieZamora
4 жыл бұрын
@@robsventure7448 thanks for the info, do you think 33s would be the smallest tire size to go in from the Hwy 4 side then?
@robsventure7448
4 жыл бұрын
@@JerimieZamora It's hard to say if 33s are truly needed. There were a few big rocks to climb, however I'm sure a few minutes of rock stacking would get 31s through the trail. I say give it a go and if you have to turn around then go wheel Coral Hollow and Sour Grass... of course follow up and let us know if 31s were sufficient.
So Britney from Lite Brite says you cant do this kinda stuff with a rooftop tent. Well well the gontlet has been thrown down by Trail Recon!

For 30 something years, my grandfather patrolled and off-roaded those same trails working in the Forest Service. Even took me on Slick Rock a few times in his slightly modified 90s JK (Fondly remember the cow bell infront of the front diff). Makes me wish I could head out there on those same trails in my Crosstrek (I know a few trails that I can do, and have access to a few open mines there.) Thanks for brining back fond memories, and making the choice of getting a Bronco something a bit more feasible as my next vehicle.
@TrailRecon You and your crew really set the standard when it comes to respecting the trail, each other, and other off-roaders. Way to be the example. Build quality on y'all's rigs is top notch, and I appreciate this channel for being such a fantastic resource. Thanks for sharing!
One of my favourite KZread channels, Here in Australia we are blessed to have a few really good content creators however this channel is right up there with the best of them. Another amazing episode for the 4wd community to enjoy

JUST WOW! Amazing scenery, cant get enough of watching each rig wheel up the trial.
These videos are so rewatchable. I find myself rewatching every adventure multiple times. This is probably my 4th time watching this 🤣
You are correct, you will never forget that trip! Amazing. Not sure if anyone else is interested but I would love to see some more of the camp setups. Looks like there were a number of ground tents on this trip as well. Keep ‘me coming brother, made my evening watching this one! Oh, and Congrats on doing this full-time now.
Thank You Brad for sharing another amazing trip. This may be your best video yet with so much incredible content and so well done. All of the drivers and their rigs are just on another level, So cool.
Beautiful place and beautiful Jeeps. Great edition Brad. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely beautiful trail. Definitely on our bucket list. Thanks for sharing!! ❤️🐞
Brad thanks for the shot of our Shop truck. We are always available to rescue anyone. All they have to do is hit up Adam and truck enroute for a free tow. And or parts delivery.
Absolutely insane trip, looks like a great time
What an epic trip! Pretty impressed with Marco’s Jeep due to the weight of his rig! This looks like a much more enjoyable trip than the Dusy we just finished. Thanks Brad!

Thank you for the good informative videos, and most of all thank you for your service to our country!
That was amazing. Wish I could lay out for a jeep. Reminds me of my old Silhouette hunting in Montana. Picking my way along mountain trails with wife and two boys. I was glad to get a pickup. Nothing like these rigs! Wow.
Glad to see the JK back and hard at work! looks like you guys had fun. Thanks for the good camera work and for taking us along.
You should do a video on that trailer! Love the friendly reminders about putting out the fire.
