@@aliasalias9411 because this was the match. Badosa hit like 10 aces and won maybe 10 winners. Rest was sakkari hitting long or smashing the net. It was absolutely terrible match in terms of quality. Badosa barely win any points in any rally's. It was sakkari that defeated herself. Paula woke up in the end when the match was slipping away from her. She started playing more aggressive in the last few games. Absolutely terrible. She looked drained tho.

@@svetoslavtodorov2427 Eight game win streak. Just took out Sabalenka and Sakkari easily playing her conservative game style. Solid top 10 now. I wouldn't think there is going to be much change in a winning game plan that took her a long time to develop.

@@4hopper4 she had day off. Today if she played either mugi , pliskova or kontaveit she would've been destroyed. I'm not saying she is bad or suggesting she's terrible but Paula wasn't there. The Paula that impressed this year. With the game she had today azarenka would've completely destroyed her.

Wow. Two INCREDIBLE athletes, putting crazy power into their shots. Paula's serve is a weapon, and Maria's groundstrokes are devastating. Big fan of both these players.

Because badosa didn't played at all today? If you wasted two hours you were going to be disappointed too. This was match of the top 100-200 ranking range not top 8.

​@@user-yt9nd8gy8v She won because she stuck to her game plan, which was to target Sakkari's forehand and take whatever free points she could get. It worked from the onset so she stuck with it. That's why Sakkari incorporated heaps of drop shots later on in the match, she couldn't handle the baseline rallies. Playing at over 1,500m above sea level changes the whole dynamic of the game, which a lot of people don't seem to realise. Not to mention it was quite windy. Very tough conditions to play in.

Looking like an inevitable Kontaveit vs. Badosa final. Hard to imagine Kontaveit loosing with the form she's in right now, but you never know. I'm rooting for Paula!

@@sumeursault two people will qualify from each group and face their opposites in the other group, so if they win their opposites...I think they should be able to meet each other again in the finals...I think that's the sequence of events except if I'm wrong🤔

Except for the final point, for the highlights in this video, whoever would think that it was Sakkari who won the match🤔

That's cause Sakkari hit x5 times more winners than Badosa who was mostly relying on out rallying Sakkari waiting for Maria to inevitably make an error

Es que los mejores puntos los hizo Sakkari. Los de Badosa fueron mayormente aces y errores no forzados de su rival.

@@xavierbrunet5320 Vaya idioteces hay que oír. Precisamente Badosa tiene mucha pegada y gran saque. En un tenis tan físico no te llega solo peloteando. Actualmente Paula Badosa es de las tenistas más completas del circuito. Este año esta haciendo una temporada de nivel Top 3.

That's because Sakkari hit like 5 times the winners in this match , she also had 49 UEs , basically the game was won and lost on her raquet which is why she has most of the highlights. They didn't have many Paula winners to show

You mean sakkari losing the match. I'm big fan of the gritty , never say never Paula but she had day off today. The other group is far better in terms of quality. I really enjoyed all matches in the other group so far.

Paula's top speed as fast as Billie Jean King's nowdays top speed, when Maria's dropshots were in Paula could barely touch the ball, but 1st service and consistency always the most important, Paula served sooooo well today, even her 2nd service wasn't just put the inside service box. Happened what I expected, Anett and Paula already in SFs.

She had long season, all of them had. You can't really blame badosa for being slow to react. Indian Wells Marathon drained her badly on top of a drilling season. Imagine playing for hours under 30+ degree in the desert. I can't imagine.

@@svetoslavtodorov2427 plus, running towards every drop shot is meaningless, it is very bad for your knees and on your overall energy. Instead, Badosa’s aces drained Sakkari mentally. Last but least, you best friend could be your best enemy (drop shot).

@@oneraksakal well in ATP they get nearly all of them. Thing is in ATP lots of players play on the baseline and ready to sprint. In WTA everyone is far behind the baseline. Well priorities I guess.

Not if Paula plays like she did today. It was awfully bad match. Relying on your opponent to do ue in order to win isn't a great strategy. Muguruza, pliskova and kontaveit would've torn her apart today. I would say even krejcikova. But krejcikova has nothing left in the tank.

Pues no hizo eso. Jugó conservadora y metió pocos golpes ganadores (por eso no salen en el resumen). Fue la táctica correcta, porque dominó el partido de principio a fin.
