After living and doing business in China for over 5 years I can only agree with every word Mrs. Fang says. Recently China has been an example in business trends and despite many people say that Chinese people copy everything I would say that sometimes it’s true but they also know how to make it a few time better and effective.

Marx still applies for the relation between an employee and an owner. Therefore all business models ultimately are for the benefit of the Owners ONLY as they OWN the businesses.

Thanks, Fang Ruan, for your presentation. It opens a window into the business mindset of China and Chinese people. You also did a great job at explaining the importance of Confucianism in the Chinese's economic thoughts. It's a framework that we, in the West, often have difficulty grasping, but it makes perfect sense when seen from an Asian perspective - i.e. the group's interests precede those of the individual. We, at the S'witty Kiwi show, have received many guests to discuss economic issues related to China, and have found it incredibly enriching when one opens up his/her mind to other, non-Western, ideas about life, business, society and the preeminent concept of personal well-being. China Inc. might appear to be an improbable source of fresh management thinking. Its state-owned enterprises are, for the most part, regulated giants that are experimenting with Western management practices. China has yet to produce a world-class company like GE or Samsung, and outside the country most of its businesspeople are better known for amassing wealth than for innovative management ideas. Yet China offers more management lessons today than do most other countries. Thanks again. - Team S’witty🙏😉

Apparently the workload of the five regional managers of dumpling Xi was so low that they had the time and the energy to take on a second job. Very few positions in a business allow for that to happen. What would dumpling Xi do in the next business iteration?

When u said expanding territories, it just gave me a whole differnt angle looking at your speech....made me clear abt china ambitions

If all you have learned after watching this talk is that China is "yarn" for democracy and thinking that the officials are trying to take full control of the huge nation and the revolution is needed, it's too bad that you can't overcome these stereotypes and just listen to this lady with a growth mindset like Gao and his first five part-time executives. it's not that hard to accept that diversity can exist not only in the food we eat but also the systems of the countries in the world.

Too bad you can't apply that philosophy to the government and let the people decide their course. The hierarchism of the past 3200 years in only meta-stable for the people are the water and the leader the boat. In that system when no one listens to the people, the only way to change has been violence only revolution not evolution.

Too cutesy for first 5 minutes, then it gets into the relevant lane. First she misreads Western audience by choosing a fluffy thread (dumplings?) which was never necessary. If you get passed that, it's worth 10 minutes - MAX.
