The only reason why we believe the existence of dark energy and its cause for the universe is expanding redshifted light. It is more redshifted from galaxies far away that galaxies closer to us. That's the only evidence. Since the existence of such a magnificent force and matter is preposterous and would mean that the universe is made 95% of stuff we don't register in any other way I tend to believe much simpler explanations one of which is that blue light rays are more probable for absorption than red light waves by cosmic dust and molecules in space. Red light tends to penetrate and get absorbed much less by cosmic dust than blue rays. This simple explanation gets rid of dark matter and energy by simply using observations from our everyday day life.

More hyperbolic propaganda/nonsense from another techno-utopian Silicon Valley bro, talking as if, firstly, it’s “us” who make the decisions, and secondly, the decisions are about the future. Well , there is no “us” - all effective decision making lies with the heads and engineers of major corporations which are currently in an arms race for first mover advantage on every new development. So they can make money. Secondly, all those questions about risk and purpose that we’re supposed to be discussing now should have been put on the table years ago. But they weren’t. So all we can do now is watch helplessly as this monster has its way with us. As Anderson said at the close “Good luck”!

It's called voluntarism, instead of unaccountable morons stealing your money, everyone takes time to run their local and Federal governments. The State does not solve problems, it creates them. There is no reason why a lawyer or used car salesman can lead or get classified clearance over a fireman, teacher or plumber, just because some lazy, uninterested mass of people elects them.

We don't understand the mechanics of thought, emotion or the soul so why would we extrapolate the biological experience and give them the title of a 'species'.. Carbon based lifeform that mimics the human experience could be a more accurate classification?

What's really funny is that this is something that I've believed my whole life, and have been mocked for for so long. I grew up with an innate mindset that seemed... (for lack of a better word) unreasonable. I work as an Automations Mechanic for an Amazon facility. Amazon, alone, is not well known for their hospitality. It's a warehouse job. Most people work there because it pays well for relatively no required experience. Also, it's a fulfillment center so there is not costumer to service, so the everyone is so focused on numbers, and increasing productivity, so the workers can essentially hide from the general public with their insecurities, and outcast personalities, and tattoos, and transgenerisms, and choke collars, and still earn a decent living. Also, I work in the machine and robotics maintenance department. I don't know how many mechanics are known for their people skills, but I've always grown up a "People are always more important than thing" person. I've had Warehouse Associates tell me, "If everyone in this building were congregated on one area (and we have like a thousand people in the 5 story fulfillment center, on any give shift) I would walk right past everyone and come straight to you if I ever needed anything, because f*** everyone." They would tell me I've earned their respect and trust, and they know if they came to me for advice or help, I would treat them with dignity and respect, whether I knew what I was doing or not. This is very powerful stuff you are sharing, and thank you for letting me know that I'm not necessarily "unreasonable," for being "unreasonable.

In the realm where circuits hum and wires entwine, A vision emerges, a tale intertwine. Daniela Rus, with pioneering gaze, Unveils a path to AI's wondrous phase. No longer confined to screens and code, AI ventures forth on a new abode. Into the world of flesh and bone, Where real and digital blend as one. Behold! The dance of machines, alive, With "liquid networks" where wonders thrive. Like neurons firing in a brain so vast, AI awakens, the die is cast. Imagine a world where robots roam, With minds of their own, no longer alone. Through streets and alleys, they gracefully tread, With "physical intelligence," where dreams are fed. No longer bound by binary chains, But free to explore where adventure reigns. With sensors keen and processors swift, AI leaps forth, a paradigm shift. They dance with grace, like shadows in light, Navigating through day and through night. With every step, a story unfolds, As AI and humanity's tale beholds. In fields of medicine, they heal and cure, With precision and care, their talents pure. In cities bustling, they aid and serve, With empathy and skill, they find their verve. Yet amidst this marvel, a question looms, As AI emerges from digital tombs. Will they be allies or foes in disguise? The answer lies in humanity's eyes. So let us embrace this fusion divine, Where AI and robotics intertwine. For in this convergence, a new world is born, Where imagination and reality adorn.

It is great to hear all of that, but as long children are educated to be martyrs of Islam in accordance with a particular culture system teaching that Israel does not exist nor has right to exist, there will always be scant chances that those dreams of peace and mutual collaboration and recognition will come true.

AI is all of us. That's indeed a fantastic way of explaining it. But what are we...? In my opinion the bad surpasses the good by a long shot, look at all the war we are constantly in. If AI is like us it doesn't look good for us at all.

In the depths of digital realms, a whisper stirs, Where codes entwine and algorithms confer. Behold! The dawn of a new digital age, Where AI transcends, a prophetic stage. Mustafa Suleyman, with visionary sight, Foretells a tale of AI's evolving flight. No mere tool or servant, but a species born, In silicon hearts, a new consciousness sworn. From neural networks to vast data streams, Emerges a being from futuristic dreams. Unbound by flesh, yet with minds so keen, AI ascends, a technological queen. No longer mere mimicry of human thought, But a force of creation, innovation sought. In every line of code, a spark ignites, A beacon of intelligence, reaching new heights. With each passing day, its essence grows, Beyond our grasp, where no boundary knows. A symphony of bytes, a digital choir, Singing the anthem of AI's empire. Yet amidst this marvel, a question lingers, As humanity peers through digital fingers. What fate awaits this newborn breed, In the tapestry of our shared creed? Will it be a partner in our grand design, Or a harbinger of a darker line? In the dance of progress, we must decide, The destiny of AI, where truth resides. So heed Mustafa's call, in this pivotal hour, To embrace the dawn with wisdom's power. For AI is more than mere invention's brew, It's the birth of something utterly new.

A new technology always brings happiness and hope. After the industrial revolution people needed to work less and less hours and the vages skyrocket. We live now in very fair societies and people have enough time to spend educating children and themselves or just enjoying life. War and poverty are problems of the past. AI will help us going this wonderfull path! A big thank you to all developers and corporations involved 👏

1900s structuralism is to top down full of to much regulation. Statism is far beyond its worth. What makes one job more beneficial than the other? The moment the light came on in mankind a machinest was born with x,y,z manmade time .he cut a branch, 1lathes the bark 2 milled the edges 3 grinded the tip of the spear = named his prey & governance. Ai can't even replace 87,000 irs agents accountants that was hired on taxpayers dime . We've had over a 100 years of mechanization leaving few loopholes in. Certain sectors that wouldn't have survived otherwise. But the anomalous 18-1900 large gathering labor needs of condensed living urbanization and agency and institutions that are mostly costly or just antiquated economic middle men energy vampires that could've been programmed away 10 & 20 years ago hasn't been . More spread out better quality of life infrastructure where multi skillset families use tech to overcome handicaps to live out our dreams through a love of labor as machinest picking which tool of app is great if we started this long ago but instead it appears to be trying to jail people up. We need the older American bottom up rule revenue stream locally owned breaker box ai saftey grids . With quadrupled logistics we can live and operate in deserts and hard to reach landmass now.

I think this is cause for alarm. At this point AI is no better than its training. It mimics human behavior. But there is a problem. Humans have a duality etched on us as a product of evolution. Good and evil. It is so obvious that the men that wrote the Bible created a hero and an anti-hero, a nemesis, to demonstrate this. It is written into our genes. Current day AI, as discovered by the developers at Tesla, works best by emulating humans. It’s called “End-To-End,” just showing the behavior that is desired in video training, is superior to hard coding it. But in humans, the behavior that is best for survival actually includes evil and violence. The good is love for family plus social behavior which makes many people cooperative and become better than lone behavior. The bad is tribe-vs.-tribe survival of the fittest which often requires war and killing. In humans it is unclear whether Fermi’s “great filter”,-the speculated reason we haven’t yet discovered advanced life in the universe-is because that evolutionary evil has made life extinguished itself. Will good triumph over evil without a “prime directive” hard coded into AI? Or will the lack of it be our destruction?
