funny thing is, year old (or even 3 y.o. ) marshmallows will melt just fine, in the microwave.

I love how for years Katelyn seemed like the sane one. It was all a lie. Katelyn is chaos personified lol.

Evan is like always slightly chaotic but the Katelyn is insanely chaotic every now and then

I admit I don't know much about their shelf life, but the fact that Evan went out and got new marshmallows but DIDN'T also just quickly grab some fresh Rice Krispies at the supermarket absolutely sent me. 🙈😆 Highly funny video as usual. (Also it made me really want bacon.)

Cereal and marshmallows last for years in sealed packages. Evan likely just had the heat too high changing the chemical structure of marshmallow.

Idea: I have been on a quest to make edible kinetic sand. Kinetic sand reminds me of both brown sugar and Rice Krispies , so I tried to combine brown sugar with the marshmallow base to make kinetic sand. It almost worked, but I added way too many marshmallows. I also had to be careful to not dissolve the brown sugar. I was wondering if you guys would be more successful than me at making edible kinetic sand. So…brown sugar, will it Rice Krispie?

im made something similar to kinetic sand accidentally when trying to make vegan gluten free peanut butter cookies. I added too much veg butter and not enough gluten free flour (i was using rice flour) and the resulting cookies fell apart immediately and the texture was like moldable sand. I think the butter and peanut butter combined with the sugar and rice flour and made little sand like particles instead of all sticking together into a cookie as i intended. I didnt replace the egg which i think is key to making the sand texture.

Katelyn is right. Following the formula that you’ve set, “bacon rice crispies” is bacon, marshmallows, and butter. What you made first was rice crispies with bacon.

Even hiding on the floor, smiling sheepishly and scooting away is a MOOD.

Another possibility of bacon version of rice krispies: just substitute the butter for bacon grease 😂

Idea. What if instead of changing the Rice Krispies, you change the marshmallows? You could use the fruity colorful ones, or the pumpkin spice marshmallows, or the peppermint ones. I’m also thinking a s’mores Rice Krispies treat. However the brand solo makes “toasted marshmallow” flavored marshmallow fluff, which having tried it means added liquid smoke.

You know what would probably be really good? Pretzel rice krispie treats. Specifically Rold Gold Tiny Twists Pretzels (they're the best nobody will convince me otherwise haha)

Rice Krispies disappeared from most shelves in my country years ago, haven't seen them in ages and I'm unsure whether they're even still sold here at all and I'm always kinda sad that I can't make them. But using popcorn honestly sounds like it might at least be a fun alternative

Freeze dried backpacking meals would probably make some good cursed crispy treats. You might be able to make an egg fried Rice Krispie treat by adding bacon bits, egg furikake, and freeze dried chives to the standard recipe. Uncle Roger is going to struggle with that one.

Growing up, my family always made rice crispy treats with peanut butter and I had just assumed that was how most people made them. It's definitely an s-tier snack in my opinion.

Evan’s Nutella/PB experiment is a take on a Scotcharoo! Replace the Nutella with equal parts chocolate chips and butterscotch chips melted together and you’ll have it.

i identify so much with katelyn's insistance in keeping food until it's absolutely inedible lol like of course i keep the food in the fridge non-moaldy, but if the pantry food is just stale?? it's fiiiiiine lmao

The BEST Rice Krispie treats have peanut butter mixed in, and a thick layer of chocolate and butterscotch that’s been mixed together on top!

Pro strat for faster marshmallow melting: mini marshmallows. Smaller = more surface area touching the hot pan without needing to chop them up. And since more of them fit in a measuring cup you get a slightly higher marshmallow-to-other-stuff ratio, for a gooier chewier result.

My wife makes them with 1tbsp butter, 1 cup creamy peanutbutter, 1 package of butterscotch morsels and 6 cups of rice krispies. I don't like butterscotch but I absolutely LOVE these.

I love the use of Metroid Prime 1 intro music as "dramatic music" because it's SO GOOOOOD

You could probably also exchange the butter in normal rice crispy treat for bacon grease and get a bit of bacon flavour that way.

The pure bacon on is my favorite. I tried it out and I love it . I couldn't stop eating it . But one thing I did notice is cooking the bacon more fully is better casue mine was a little bit oily

I like experimenting with food. One time I made a fabulous treat concerning rice crispy treats. I like peanutbutter ones but I'd use chunky and the chunks of peanuts mixed in were some. Didnt affect the consistency at all. I've even mixed in flavorings into the marshmallow butter mix.I love tropical flavors and one time I decided to try something. I mixed crushed cashews and shredded coconut in with the rice crispies. I also put a bit of coconut cream into the marshmallow mixture.turned out fabulous. Coconut cashew rice crispy treats. I've also done pumpkin pie spice in some one time. Those were good too.

I just found these two and I already love them

The chaos is stong in both of them, but comes out so differently. 😂
