You can't tame salt water crocodiles like you see them do with alligators. Now I'm not saying alligators can be fully tame but they do know when they are being called if they are given a name by a human, just don't touch them in certain areas and they won't take a reflex bite out of you. You even see alligator experts swimming with alligators in pools, you can't do that with Saltys. They own their territory wherever that may be.

@@maralinekozial9131 in the US gators are far more aggressive than the American crocodiles we have. dont think there has been any fatal attacks by crocs here in the US but gators have had a few. our crocs tend to try to stay away from people. I dont know if that is true throughout their range though I would think so... having said that, i had the experience of being stalked by a (I assume) American crocodile while surfing in costa rica once....

Imagine the poor people snatched off the banks in Australia, how terrifying that must of been. One guy made it away from the croc at the initial attack, made it 6 steps before it apparently had caught him and dragged him in. They found both legs, separated in the creek followed be the dudes upper body basically intact in the crocs belly.

You can't tame salt water crocodiles like you see them do with alligators. Now I'm not saying alligators can be fully tame but they do know when they are being called if they are given a name by a human, just don't touch them in certain areas and they won't take a reflex bite out of you. You even see alligator experts swimming with alligators in pools, you can't do that with Saltys. They own their territory wherever that may be.

@@maralinekozial9131 in the US gators are far more aggressive than the American crocodiles we have. dont think there has been any fatal attacks by crocs here in the US but gators have had a few. our crocs tend to try to stay away from people. I dont know if that is true throughout their range though I would think so... having said that, i had the experience of being stalked by a (I assume) American crocodile while surfing in costa rica once....

Crocs have been recorded running at 25kph ( about 18mph I think) over short distances. Much faster than any human.

Imagine the poor people snatched off the banks in Australia, how terrifying that must of been. One guy made it away from the croc at the initial attack, made it 6 steps before it apparently had caught him and dragged him in. They found both legs, separated in the creek followed be the dudes upper body basically intact in the crocs belly.
