Great job! One idea I'd previously had was using a ray cast once the player was in the enemy vision cone, and testing for walls. Doesn't take much to implement, and saves processing raycasts for only when they're required.

I definitely would have set up a system to have vision cones smoothly interpolate in direction rather than the current snapping system; it's a little annoying for players to react to when it instantly transmits in an unexpected direction.

I agree. There is a lot more I could have done with the vision cones in general. But it's a jam and you can only do what you can with the time you have.
