Calculator trick is one that seems easiest to guess how it is done. When he is handed the phone, he subtly presses "=" once again. That will add the "code" again to the previous result. He has probably trained shit ton of mental math, so he subtracts whatever he saw on the phone as first sum from the second number that he only glances for a second. Once he knows the code , he prearranges the four cards and then forces those cards pretty obviously on Huberman. He didn't really choose random cards, he was handed four specific cards. Forcing stuff is always so wild, it seems like a huge gamble but seems to work everytime.

To make such a comment, I am guessing you know how the tricks's were done? Hypothetically, let's assume that Asi used real magic to perform these tricks. Wouldn't you agree that real magic is far more impressive than just a "trick." Because you assume it is a trick, you are trying to judge the merits of trick from a position of ignorance rather than a position of knowledge. With that being said, do you have the proper knowledge to be able to distinguish real magic from just a trick? Or are you just assuming it is a trick and judging it on creativity and presentation? IMO, before someone critiques a trick, they must prove it is a trick first, then that person can judge from a position of knowledge. @robbiereekie3694

Asi's a fantastic magician. Is he the best alive? He's a contender, but it really depends on what you value in your magic. It doesn't really make any sense to say 'he's the best'. Asi, you absolute mad man!!! That was a beautiful selection of tricks. The opening trick is sooo effective…
"Trick" at 10:39 revealed: They have boom mics above their heads to record sound and in the wide angle shots the upper 20% of the screen are comped in. Huberman happened to move his hands into the comped in area when doing the "mind blown" motion. In editing they had the choice between removing the comp (and showing the Mics in the process) or letting his hand "disappear" for half a second. They choose to go with the latter. Easy! 😅

Its maybe some substance that appears when only when light flashes. You can see after he takes the picture, the camera angle changes to his face so the editors know it was there all along appearing in the photo albums bottom left corner of the camera
@ImOnAGoat91
Ай бұрын
nice spot. My best guess is that it has something to do with the flash. It's broad daylight, the regular camera app woudln't trigger the flash. That can't be a coincidence. He must've turned it on on purpose. That also explains why the camera angle switches as he takes the picture. The wallet is a "magic wallet" that somehow reacts to the flash and makes the card visible on the picture - Remember, it's Asi's wallet, not Hubermans. The card that will appear is predetermined and the real trick is then to make Huberman guess that exact card. No idea how he does that though.
@puupipo
Ай бұрын
@@JB_inks Took me a minute to think that through but my best guess is that the wallet has a screen where the card should appear and a light sensor, and when the flash from the camera hits the sensor the screen quickly flashes the image of the card so that it shows up on the photo.Then it's just a matter of "forcing" the person to pick that card which is something that I know good card magicians can do.
@clapdrix72
Ай бұрын
@@ImOnAGoat91 He doesn't have him think of the 3 of hearts, he forces him to draw the 3 of hearts. He had him think of the 3 of diamonds, and tell him, then he stalls, finds it with the deck face down somehow and then sneaks it in the wallet when he asks him to draw card halfway out the first time. It's the only time he's touching the wallet with the deck and his hands as obstruction so it has to be then. The execution and slight of hand is still baffling though. The rest is just showmanship.
It's hard to be a magician these days because everyone knows how the tricks work, but the execution of the illusions is a beautiful art.

This is a good catch. I think the card is always in there. The actual magic is the card suggestion. the stumble over the wallet, he is triggering something to remove the covering that made it wallet look empty. Asi Wind blows Andrew Huberman
Well played sir well played!
You know what I loved seeing you stumped! hahahahaha I love you! ..."Oh my goodness". I love that too. Great video. How did he do that?
With the 7679 trick i think he looked at the history of the calculator when looking at the phone when Andrew wasn't paying attention and then he positioned the combination of cards for him to take.

I don't think iPhone calculator has a history

He also cut the deck and placed it under the table then grabbed new cards before the phone trick.

he simply pressed the = sign again, which on iPhones adds the last number again and subtracted the previous number to get the original
Even more impressive was how Andrew made his hand disappear at the 10:40 mark

They removed overhead mics with a mask. Common thing to do.
The editing man is on it too, he skill-fully changes camera during the trick to hide the magic from us. ))
That magician went on Fool Us with Penn and Teller and went 4d chess on them, it was one of the greatest display of mastery and genius I have ever seen.
Dr. Huberman, as a huge fan of your insightful and science-based videos and content, I couldn't help but notice a curious moment at the 10:40 mark. During this moment, your right hand appears to vanish momentarily. Could you kindly shed some light on this intriguing occurrence?

Has to be removing the boom microphone??

It's a common microphone masking trick. There are mics positioned above, but before you shoot you take a clip without the mics and then mask over the actual recording. Nothing related to the magic trick.

@@AleksiJoensuu Thanks for the clarification! Much appreciated.
Amazing!!!
Crazy tricks ! Incredible.
I did see one super quick editing glitch...mind not blown. ;-)
There real magic is that his hand disappears when his mind is blown.
Perplexing and wonderful! 😮😊
