when he counts the 10 and Blaine slaps the stack saying "that's the 10" he is putting the additional 7 cards he had counted out just prior to that.

That was what I thought. He put the additional 3 cards onto the 10 when he patted the pack but he did not do this for the other 7 unless the camera did not show it. How did he get the other 7 into the pack? Assuming that the guy in the hat was not a stooge which would change everything he had to get the other 7 cards into the pack whilst they were on the table. Any ideas?
