    What a glorious piece of film making. Beautiful clear water and pretty boats. The Caledonian Yawl especially attractive. What fun this looks even in the rain

    Ahh yes, this one does not include the little fire system onboard to keep warm. It makes sense after a 2nd thought to remove it for safety reasons. I recall you had been clear to advise it never be left unattended.

    I want to congratulate you. I've always considered sailing outside of my means. I visited the Gold Coast when I was a teenager with family; but now, I have a new bucket list. Pocket cruisers/trailer sailers are so cheap, that If I'm ever able to revisit your country. I'll be planning to snag a functional boat to sail, then sell it again when I leave. Until then, keep at it, your content is relaxing and fun to watch.

    I can’t tell what you revised, but it was still a good video the second time around!! It’s hard for me to imagine you guys are in the middle of winter when it’s about 1000 degrees here in Florida right now. Lol. I’m guessing there aren’t any crocs in that lake.

    No crocs or sharks and rarely dolphins as it's about 14kms from the ocean and not many fish. Removed tealight flowerpot heater as they can be dangerous and the Nis Sharpie 23 is, Norwalk not Norfolk...my bad, cheers Paul

    Hi, a question for you. What would a good 18 - to 20-foot sailboat to build. Have looked at a caribou 6m and like most of design. I like the shape. I can't find anything else and wondered if you know of plans for something similar. Love your channel.

  • @SailingKateLouise

    @SailingKateLouise

    Ай бұрын

    Well I suppose it's where you are in the world and what sort of sailing you want to do . If you want to go off shore your requirements are different from lakes an estuaries. My preference with a small cabin in timber would obviously be the Stornaway 18, followed by the Ian Oughtred Pathfinder. Open boat would be a Fulmar, Navigator or Whaler, Drascombe Longboat and also it depends on whether you are intending to build or buy. Thanks for watching , cheers Paul
