    I love the idea of an inflatable board as a "tender" for a sailing dinghy 😎👍🏻

  • @SailingKateLouise

    Hi yes I've got an inflatable kayak but it's very hard to get on and off from the boat, as it tends to sink a bit in the middle if you try and stand up(inflatable floor). But the SUP is under such high pressure it's as solid as a rock. Not only fun but keeps you dry in winter. The inflatable kayak tends to pool any water from your feet, to the lowest point, which tends to be where your bum is, so you always get wet. Also the SUP doesn't take up much room. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul

    We have a couple of paddleboards. They are a lot of fun, a lot like a bicycle, grab and you are on the water. Very relaxing, we just drift and watch the birds. Another great day, helping us still in the winter looking forward to our summers.

    Great video of another lovely sail. I'm intrigued by the outboard motor bracket in your motor well - looks as if you can raise & lower the motor in the well. I need to do the same in the Caledonia Yawl I am building. Is the bracket available on the market?

    Hi Neil, thanks for watching. I had 2 fixed aluminium slides which guided the outboard mounting board up and down, But the props get hitting the hull opening when lowering. So the slides now pivot at the bottom allowing for a change in angle while lowering.... if that makes sense. Cheers Paul

    Yep a big doer upper, it's riddled with termites. But interestingly there are a few old farms around Myall Lakes that were taken over in 1972 when the area was declared a national park. But life would have been tough, it's about 18km from the nearest town Buladelah by road or river. Thanks for watching, cheers Paul

    How does Kate Louise sail with just the jib and mezzane?

  • @SailingKateLouise

    @SailingKateLouise

    5 ай бұрын

    Hi James she sails well under Jib and mizzen on a reach or running, but sometimes stalls while tacking, You need to get good speed up to complete the tack as I don't have a centre board so there is not a lot to pivot around. Kate Louise has a lot of sail, so dropping the main is always an option to reefing, if it gets to 15knots plus. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul

    How big are dingoes really? I mean how dangerous can they really be to a fully grown man?

  • @stevep5819

    @stevep5819

    5 ай бұрын

    As Paul said, about the size of an alsatian (German Shepherd) and a dog that size can easily kill an adult human. Fatal dog attacks aren't common but do happen among domestic breeds from time to time. You should also consider that dogs are pack animals so where you see one set of tracks there may well be other dingoes nearby.

  • @andersholmstrom3571

    @@stevep5819 Thanks for the answer. I did not really thin that dingoes are that big. I tought more like the size of Shiba Inu- So if they are the size of German sheppards I see that they can clearly be a danger to a fully grown human. .
