Paul, the definition of a gentleman is: someone who can play an accordian, but chooses not to. Having said that, I look forward to hearing the dulcet tones of your concertina in a quiet anchorge at sunset.

Well it will be a while before a public performance! Getting the brain to talk to the fingers in the right order and timing is always a challenge...but I'm enjoying it, that's the main thing.Thanks for watching, cheers Paul
Entertainment so thanks very much for your efforts and sense of humour. Happy that it was a good ending in the very end.

😆😆😆 Long time fan of your channel. I show your channel to all my sailing friends to show what you can do with a boat less than 22 feet long. But cosplaying vikings AND sailing? GOLD.

Hi Dave, well it only happens once a year....thank goodness. But I must practice my viking war cry, thanks for watching, cheers Paul
And here was I thinking that Josh was the only boat that got towed!
@SailingKateLouise
Жыл бұрын
aah... ha ha ,now that's not fair. Josh has a petrol outboard that he can refill . I've got an electric outboard that I can't- (unless you've got a very long extension cable). So I'm always wary of running out of power and never turn down a tow. The book says with 2 new batteries I can get 1 hr at 4 knots and 10 hrs at 2knots but the batteries are 4 yrs old so I don't like to risk it especially over 4 days. I am planning on getting a solar panel to top up the batteries though. Thanks again for watching, cheers Paul

Ha ha- We’re just two lost souls of the same vintage Paul. Love the Floyd myself. 🌈 Great production an always. I enjoyed the little B-roll of still water, even if it’s wasn’t in favour with your plans. Will hope meet you on the 24th up at Lake Mac. Will be great to share a fire. Can I suggest investing in an Oodie. It’s like a modern day Viking bear skin. 😜 ⛵️

Ok, my wife has just told me what an Oodie is, I do have a Panda Onesie but that is probably not the go....see you at Lake Mac , cheers Paul
Simply Sublime, thank you Paul. Maybe you can learn some Pink Floyd songs on the concertina.

It is beginning of summer here in northern California. I am trying to get my American 16 cleaned, waxed, and ready to sail. Weather has been glorious and the local lakes are full, after a winter of good rain. Thank you, Paul, for your videos. They inspire me to seek my own sailing adventures.

I kayak on Blue Lakes (8 miles) and Highland Springs reservoir (12 miles). Southwest 40 miles is Lake Sonoma. That is about as far as I range. Lake Tahoe is too far and too busy. Lake Oroville and Lake Almanor are more than I want to drive. I stay close to home because these local lakes offer everything I want.

What a delight, to see Paul and "Kate Louise" out and about again, with Viking regalia, nonetheless! Not only that, but what a surprise... (wait for it)... I think I've found the Japanese equivalent here of Deb Potatoes! (Alas, not with onion, though...). I'll try to send a photo. Cheers and fair winds from Tohoku, Japan.

I empathise with the boat launch. The first time I put the Pamela B in the water after Pam died I felt my feet start to slide and it all seemed to be in slow motion. I thought “I’m going to go right under here” and almost in slow motion under I went and I ended up flat on my back about 18 inches underwater. Didn’t crack my skull fortunately. I made so little splash that not a single one of the 30 or so people around the ramp noticed until I walked past the dripping wet. Pam had only died about 4 days earlier and for the next few hours all I could hear was her screaming laughing.

Hi Peter mine is a 10 year old Torqueedo 801, the newer version 1103 has a led readout with power, distance and duration left which is really useful but not cheap at Aus $4000. Why not try a small fishing electric outboard, but make sure it can give you 3/4 hp to get you out of trouble if it turns nasty, cheers Paul
