They key to using this weapon is to shoot as much ammo as you can at the enemy so you can walk back to base half as light.

Then the honeymoon is *OVER.* When you go humping it for real, you'll notice somehow she's gotten really HEAVY and eats like a pig, leaving you to carry all the ammo to feed her. Even CLP to keep it from seizing in the dust/heat. You'll want a divorce, "yesterday." Well, enough of the good... now for the bad & ugly. Since it can open such a can o' woop ass, it will be a lightning rod for incoming because you're worth a lot. In that regard, at least they won't make you take point with it ;)

The way I cope with it is all the people I shoot are terrorists, may not be as easy for some others, but these guys kill their own civilians, torture our soldiers and try to bring down america, I'm more than happy to see 100 stacked dead and burning, save our soldiers
So am I the only one that became incredibly anxious that he was providing covering fire from an incredibly dusty road, every shot kicking up a very noticeable and obvious cloud of dust that says, 'hey, here I am!'. I mean there looked like there was hardy vegetation to the right, probably a lot less visible that way. Mad respect for having the courage to take up that role, soldier.

well not true, the mujahideen only exists today in the sense that, pretty much ALL of their fighters and or commanders have joined the Taliban. even than though, it fractured into tons of different armed rebel groups one of the biggest ones being the Taliban, and, they are still referred to as the mujahideen however the mujahideen itself no longer actually exists. directly following the communist pullout from Afghanistan they fractured into sub groups which than grappled with each other for powers and control of the afghani government. in short, after winning the first afghan war, they went on to immediately start a civil war with their own allies. a civil war which has yet to actually end. @@texas6792

Please don't compare real war to a game. You cannot replicate the feeling of real war in a video game, video games do not look as realistic as this. They may be made to be realistic, but the players don't make it realistic. If we are comparing games that have some similarities, Squad and arma. They are only realistic because of a few things like bullet shots, and radios, and the players actually play tactical. Other than that, you cannot compare a game to real war.

Ha
You my friend are the defifuckingnition of badass. You and every other soldier that makes it possible for me to sit carelessly at my computer and watch these videos in peace included. 100℅ respect and gratitude for everything each one of you has sacrificed to provide the rest of us with the ability to speak or minds out loud and live in peace. 💪👏💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It's very rare to see an enemy in a firefight. I love it.
Thanks!!!!!
kicking up the dust was not all that dumb it gave him a blurred line of sight and a good distraction for flanking

Prodo xx there was not really much cover and you don't want to be in so much cover that you can get flanked

Flanking doesn't work, they would have their area covered.
Suppressing fire then... "do you see anything?". "No". So why waste 20-30 rounds of ammo? No change - assuming they will get replen when needed.

Clive Sinclair I can't believe they didn't think of that! You're not even in the military and have no experience with it whatsoever, yet you know so much more than they do
This’ll give you some real ptsd, Imagine just hearing a gun shot when you’re back home and you just start getting flashbacks, that’d be so harsh
Just curious, I don't know much about belt fed MG's, is it possible to attach an ammo belt to the end of another belt already in use to either make it longer or avoid opening the action to reload?

You gotta change the barrel anyway probably. You could make an infinity belt but you could also lose track of how many rounds you fired and melt your barrel

You can get a backpack with a feed mechanism. Some people figured that out a while back.
I know it was suppressive fire, but did he even have his rear sights flipped up or use sights at all?

you can aim the sight up to 800m without flipping them up. flipping them up is for 1000m - 1500m

Iron sights for 1500m? Even 800m sounds ridiculous.

" Is this the armchair soldier section? I have no experience as a warrior and I'm looking to spout off some stupid comments and pretend to have balls and expertise at killing Islamo Nazis".
Salute to you guys
More guts and balls then I will ever have thank for doing your job
Beautiful spread cover fire. I have seen post after post “waste of bullets” or “ he’s shooting at nothing”. From people who have no concept of the term cover fire or suppression fire. So here’s a brief explanation. Cover fire... discharge of weapon to send rounds down range at enemy positions so your allies are “safer” to move into better FFP. Suppression fire sending rounds down range to keep the enemies heads down more importantly keep them in the location you can zero in on. There’s a bigger picture to military procedures so instead of criticizing simply say “ thank you for your service”.
It's so easy for you people have never been there to make your comments isn't it!
240 is probably my fav modern MG
glad to see he did indeed have an AG. the marine was behind and out of the camera's view most of the video. for a moment i thought the marines might have been crazy enough to field 240's without an AG!

he's saying that he's german and he has full respect for america, the other guy says ''me too'' BTW if you think i'm german you're wrong, i'm dutch but since some words *almost* sound the same and have the same meaning it's a lot easier to figure out.
