Ya I bought my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 for business/productivity purposes but quickly realized how amazing games were on it at the highest settings. I actually retired my gaming PC and only play games on this now.

I only play mp ranked, and all the way through level 150 and legendary rank I maintained 3.6 K/D. I think it’s because I use iPad Pro M1. I have MVP on almost 1/3 of all matches. Always play TDM ranked

I’m super excited to see this an option for these iPads! I really hope to play the new Life is strange remastered games because those colors are gonna look amazing! Have you tried the ps5 controller wired to your new iPad Pro? I’ve been using a Xbox one controller via Bluetooth and can notice a little latency. Now I know the newer ps5 controller has 5.1 Bluetooth but connecting it wired would be the best! Of course you need a usbc to usb doggle. But if you could try it and report back it would be great.

Only major down side with Cloud Gaming is the HUGE amount of bandwidth it uses. In the US just about every ISP has limits on broadband caps, and even more so on cellular as after you reach the cap it throttles you to 3g speeds.

@@jessearella I wouldn’t say there are no data caps on high speed internet in Canada, Telus for one still has data limits (75/75 - 550 megabytes, PureFibre x 2.5 gives you two terabytes and all other plans give you a terabyte, they’re all unlimited for your two year term and then after that they put the caps on)

I would agree that the M1 iPad Pro is great for gaming, but still, at the end of the day you don't get full-featured games and for me, there still aren't enough games that support the game controller gameplay... So for me, I will continue to stick with my MBA M1 and Nintendo Switch for gaming.

Agreed. Too many "freemium" games. No real FULL games besides Oceanhorn series, Genshin Impact, and Oddmar. I'm waiting for Diablo Immortal to launch. Ive heard that it's hard for developers to make money since most of the games people want, they don't want to pay for... which to me sounds ridiculous. I'd totally pay money for a good game without freemium. I'm also a WoW veteran and have been playing since 2005. So I don't mind paying for quality.

The stuff it can do is great, but considering that it could probably run SteamOS as well, and there could also be Gamevice controllers for it, I think it is a bit of a sad story. The wasted potential is immense, pretty depressing, because the IPad probably has the best looking display of them all and is incredibly slim.

Had the same experience with getting more kills in CoD. K/D was 8.5 for a while haha, as you level up in ranked you get matched with way more skilled players, now my k/d is like 2-3ish. However if I play unranked I do extremely well, even at a high level. Don’t know why that is lol. iPad Pro is better than the switch in my opinions, and it has the hardware to only become better

I’m awaiting shipping and excited! I was in the return period so I just exchanged my previous iPad (Air 4), which I REALLY loved, but I wanted the pro, for a few reasons, but mostly for the center stage function. I am going to be doing a lot of zoom meetings. Also, gaming and some drawing. I could only afford the 128gb base version, and I’m hoping it’ll be enough storage. I don’t do video work, just some photo editing, basic procreate drawing, writing papers, taking some notes, playing some games and normal content consumption/streaming. My previous iPad was the 256gb air, and it had a ton of apps, bunch of games, and a LOT of photos and I only used like 70 gigs or so, so fingers crossed I’ll be fine at 128. Is 128 sufficient storage for most purposes? Thanks again for the great review, looks like a killer game machine! I’m super excited!

Honestly man, you should checkout iCloud options. I have over 200gb on my phone and for my iPad I didn't want to pay for the extra storage. I think I pay like $3/month for 200GB of cloud storage. And it works exactly like hard storage and its way less cost if you ask me. Don't think I'll ever pay for more storage anymore.

Yes man. I understand it is entry level storage for Ipad pros and that causes people underestimate how much can 128 gb storage is. I believe 128gb is literally enough for more than %95 of Ipad users.

@@momenyugi448 I am no expert but that does not sound abnormal to me. It’s a big display with a mini led, if battery is a concern I would recommend lowing the brightness.

I purchased the dual controller and connected it to the iPad. Question: since I don't own the PS5 how do I know how much battery the controller has and how do I charge it? Thank you.

Its 2,5 tflops (graphics performance) thats 2,5 times more the the Nintendo switch. Add to that the much much more powerfull CPU and the fact that you have all that power available when playing on battery. Its a great system for gaming, i hope we will see more games.

The Tegra X1 soc in the Nintendo Switch is underclocked significantly both on the cpu cores and gpu cores. It's only got about 500 gflops of compute performance in docked mode and 393 gflops in handheld mode. So as a handheld unit the iPad pro is actually 6,6 times faster when it comes to gpu performance.

I'd say the same for COD Mobile. Blast through Ranked easily.

Idk if that’s all devices but iPad m1 isn’t fully optimized for codm yet. The new update will put that specific iPad on either 90fps or 120 it’s not even on 90 yet. Update which is season 6 will be in a few days. Whenever they reset rank idk

So happy you put a thing about cloud gaming. I don't game as much as I used to so it doesn't make sense for me to build out a PC (Mac user) or get one of the next gen consoles for the price. I've been wanting to upgrade to an iPad Pro from an older iPad Air. Cloud gaming alone makes it worthwhile for me because now I won't have to buy one of those next gen consoles. One question though. I wonder (I don't think you'll know this answer cuz Stadia may be different) but I wonder what kind of quality the cloud gaming is? Would an Xbox game need to be an Xbox One title or could I play a Series X version?

You don't need an ipad pro for cloud gaming. The whole point of cloud gaming is that high end pc specs are being used to run the games and streamed to you so you are not running the games on your device. An okay phone with a good wifi card will work as well as a super high end ipad pro M1. You will be fine with your ipad air.
