I’m having a hard time making a decision on what iPad to get! I want to get a iPad Air, because of the larger display, but I play games, I don’t like using a controller. So I’m worried that it’ll be too big for it. Then I’d get a iPad mini… but then I’m worried it’ll be too small for my other needs🤦🏻‍♂️

I have a Tab s8 plus and it's great. The thing I notice with these videos is IOS has more games that are optimized with a controller. If only apple allowed emulators on IOS it would be my perfect all in one device

Written July 20, 2022 The only problem with IPad Air M1 is the storage is max 256GB. Actually for all my 37 console games from Ps1-ps4, this isn’t a problem as they only take up 144gb total but I could see in the longterm as games get bigger, how the “small” storage could become a problem if you have it for 5-10 years. That being said, Divinity 2 looks beautiful on iPad and really shows M1 iPads full ps4 power-oh and soon to be announced this year No Man’s Sky Nice review

I wish you could get a controller that attaches to the sides like you can for the phone.. this could turn it into a handheld Xbox with the new game streaming on iPad and Xbox controller support, which would be insanely good and the first of its kind with such a big screen and high performance gaming. Some lag and only 1080p but still. COD on iPad with full graphics is nuts.

Haha super fast fiber optic and shows 66Mbps :D I'm from Poland and in every city we have fiber internet up to 1Gbps ;) I personally have 300 Mbps for 18 usd/ month and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately the closest servers for us are usually Germany so latency for Nvidia GeForce Now for instance is around 25ms (which is still really respectful)

I’m on quick speeds for most of UK tbf! Unless you’re in London and major cities. I’ve had faster speeds like that when I lived in London, on Virgin Media as the provider. it was insane downloading games on that! Do miss it!

I use my ipad air 5 to play my ps5 games. Works almost perfect besides it losing connection from time to time. I use my headset and all lol.

Now, you see how amazing Xbox series s is. It is just 1/3 or 1/4th of the price of iPad Air, while supporting ray tracing, next gem game, with large storage space. The saved up money, can buy you a cheap desk setup, with few years game pass subscription. It has never been better to game. And now even Netflix put out some good games that runs natively on iPad. Still, the cheaper console, which specifically design for gaming, performs better. Still, I am happy that my iPad can game well, but given it price point, more expensive than a ps5, it should be able to game. Nothing to brag about.

But the thing is, the Ipads are not specifically targeted for gamers like the ps5 and xbox s, the ipad is targetted for a wider audience, casual people, businessman, light gamers, and for other professional use cases like in resturants, cockpit of an airplane etc, so basically comparing the xbox and ps5 to the ipad, is simply unfair because consoles are made solely for high end gaming, while ipads are made for a variety of things

Lower refresh rate will mean that some games run more consistently though. In the past ive preferred a smoother 30fps over 60fps with moments of slowdown.

You can still get a large amount of bots in multiplayer... Especially if you aren't legendary Until master, you only have 1 or 2 real players...

When you are above pro you go against real players but if you are using a controller its hard to find matches against real players even on high ranks bec mostly dont use controllers

No game streaming. No emulating. Bad display. Not worth it. You're much better off with a Tab S7.

@@K.R.X I have a tab s8 plus. Wish Google had more games optimized with controllers or at least let you know. The amoled is great for content watching and emulators make it a must over the ipad. If IOS had emulators I'd probably go with apple though
