​@@Your_god_sucks 9 out of 10 times a shot like that would've went through regardless of what the helmet was. Yes, they are designed to protect the head, but they aren't designed to take DIRECT impact especially from that caliber. Thus the "Lucky son of a b*" in the video.

This is why I love Marines. One of them was almost shot clean through the head and all three were calm, collected, and even making a joke or two about it. Their first reaction after the shock wore off was “let’s go do something about this.”

The guy was "Very lucky" I'm ex long term British military and my sniper rifle was the The L96A1. Produced by Accuracy International sniper rifles and currently the sniper rifle of choice for the British Army. The L96 features an adjustable butt, integrated adjustable bipod and static iron sights (though a 6x42 Schmidt & Bender is fitted.. Effective range approximately 800m. Caliber ..7.62x51 NATO. "Never" expose yourself to an open position without first doing the required recon beforehand. That guy was very lucky talk about dodging the bullet. 🇺🇲⚔️🇬🇧

No matter how tall he was the sniper would still aim for the same spot its not like that was shot blindly and if he was taller it would be on his face snipes always aim carefully before they shoot
