I sucked at these.

I actually find this form of motorcycle content even more entertaining than people flying down the freeway at 180mph. Slow speed stuff takes a lot more skill than going in a straight line at speed. Keep it up!

Been riding for 15 years now and I still hit up the local high school parking lot to practice a lot of the same maneuvers. I'm on a 2003 Yamaha FJR1300. If you're gonna ride heavy, ya gotta be gentle lol. Keep it up man, you're setting a good example for all the little squidlets out there.

We in Croatia have the 8's to do in MSF and only Slalom without turning. I also practice every time I go out 10-15 min . U turns will become easier when you start throwing your weight around the bike.

Slipping the clutch and dragging the rear brake are key for slow speed maneuvers. Nice bike man. I just picked up the little brother MT09SP as my 4th bike. I just love naked bikes. Every time i hop on someones super sport I'm like.... Why? They're so uncomfortable in town which is where we ride the most. Highway is a different story.

Agreed! Congrats on the MT09! That was one of the bikes i was looking into getting before I ended up with the mt10, both are great!

Nope, no need to drag the rear brake. Once in a while yes, otherwise it's just clutch control.

Agreed. That’s how I do it on my MT-10. That friction zone and riding that back break.

do yourself a favor and ram mount and get a phone case to match the mount in the center of your handlebars. Quad lock phone case is amazing compared to the ram mount.

Do yourself a favor and mind your business, it's my preference and I actually use them both. But the RAM mount is actually superior, and I have both so I can say that confidently.

Dude great for practicing but you have to go slower round that lollipop x) The bike being heavy doesn't mean it can't be balanced. You should be able to ride round it below 3-4 mph. Takes a lot of practice though! Which many don't even bother with.

Is it just me or does it sounds like its coming strange noise when you steer? I think you should probably check the control bearing just to make sure it isnt loose or anything. You can definitely hear it in 9:00

Any bike u want !! Like me , I brought 1000c bike today as my first bike . I’m 42! Just know his to operate the bike , understand the things that you can do that can make you go boom! And respect your limits and grow with your bike! N have gentle hands no random abrupt movement on inputs( brakes and throttle) when u know all these things and have maturity you can do it ! It’s simple .. after 2 years I’d looked at ppl who started on and who are still here with their 1000 and it’s all the same common factors that made it possible and the same common factors that make the others die!

For street cruising or commuting I'd recommend either Naked or Adventure style bikes that fall within the 300-500cc range. My previous bike was a 390 Duke and it is excellent for getting around the city, though it is a bit of a smaller bike. If you'd like something a bit bigger/taller with tons of tech and very good maneuverability, I'd recommend checking out the GS series from BMW, such as the G 310. Those bikes have a very comfortable sitting position, excellent for commuting, very smooth beginner friendly, and the handlebars are very wide for maximum handling. If you'd like your feet a bit more forward you can go with something like the Honda rebel 300-500. It really boils down to what you are going to use it for and what your most comfortable seating position is. If you dont plan on going very high speeds id stick to 300-500cc as it has plenty of power to get around town and hang on the freeway/highway. 600cc and up is just extra power that wont be used in regular commuting or street riding most of the time. I recommend you go to your local dealers and schedule test rides with some of your options and go with whatever feels best!

I'm over 40 and I bought MT-03 it's 321cc bike it's pretty fast for a beginner and I have no problem with HWY because that bike has better acceleration than 90% of cars. Eventually I'm gonna upgrade in the future probably for something like MT-07 or SV-650 or Triumph street tripple RS .....BUT I would never go with 1000cc because I don't need that kind of power. Or maybe I'll stay with that MT03 forever? who knows.
