    Excellent review especially for a returning rider like myself. How is the launch torque in the RAIN mode ??? How do you feel about vibrations in the bars, foot pegs, &/or seat ??? At what speeds regarding vibrations ??? Any choppiness in low speeds ??? Thanks for your response. Subscribed

    You shouldn’t ride around in first on such a powerful bike. It could catch you out really quickly when you’re inexperienced

    I have this bike kind of in a different form. I have the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 (here in the UK beginner bikes are limited to 125cc until you get your full licence). It is basically identical to this bike in the main chassis. The rear subframe and bodywork is different and it has Pirelli Scorpion tyres and I think the seat height is higher at 820mm but otherwise it's the same bike essentially. The Svartpilen does come with a quickshifter as standard though which is interesting. I don't use it much though as I am learning how to use a fully manual bike properly, but it can make shifting gears quickly easier, which is handy when you only have 15hp. I have yet to fully break the engine in and have the first service so I'm limited to below 7500rpm (it's what the manual says but it's not physically limited). Turn by turn navigation through the TFT display is pretty cool as well. In theory it can recieve phone calls, but I haven't got a helmet speaker set yet so haven't tried it out. Also you can remote control your phone using the left button cluster. It has been an excellent bike except for one strange thing that has happened to me a couple of times. If I get a false neutral (e.g. moving in slow moving traffic), it won't let me go down into first gear until I fully stop the bike, which can be somewhat dangerous if traffic behind you thinks you should be pulling off. I think it's part of the safety system, not letting you out of neutral except for specific conditions. Maybe it will let me up into second in that situation I'm not sure. Also the chain tension measurement is a bit vague in the manual. I think it says the bottom length of the chain should be between 7-10mm below the bottom of the swingarm (after the plastic chain slider) when you lift the chain up. I am guessing the chain tesion method is similar with all the 2024 bikes on this chassis. How did you set yours?

    Tbh if you stay in the rain mode this bike is SUPER controllable and feels extremely safe and is still fast af haha. Then again though, I got it tuned so maybe that's why it's more manageable.

    We in Croatia have the 8's to do in MSF and only Slalom without turning. I also practice every time I go out 10-15 min . U turns will become easier when you start throwing your weight around the bike.

    The reason this bike is awesome is because it provides quality, technology at different levels, and the power needed to be comfortable at HIGH speeds...being up to 100 or so. I was somewhat surprised to see how quick he went from 50 to 70...seemed like 3 seconds or so. For a lighter rider like myself, I feel that bike would likely pull pretty well in 5th all the way up to well past highway speed then 6th gives that cruising gear that still gas the umph to pull in most situation without shifting down. They give a perfect cc size to power ratio as well. Would much rather this than say a honda 500 twin for sport riding. The cockpit on this bike is also VERY solid. Anyone know of any known issues or codes the bike gets? I read alot about newer bikes and electrical issues

    IMO you did right, using the rain mode to get used to the bike. I do have a filming suggestion, raise your action camera so we can see more of the road and less of the gas tank.

    some bikes dont need to be in first gear to set off, my bike can set off in second just need to give it more throttle , but its more ideal being in first

  • @motorcyclifter
    @motorcyclifter22 күн бұрын

    Any bike can take off in higher gear, the point is if youre learning you dont want to risk stalling in the street which is why it needs to be in first gear. Theres no point in taking off in higher gears and having a bigger chance of stalling in the middle of the street, especially for beginners that are just learning. Makes no sense.

    Thanks for the tips, brother. Never rode a motorcycle, but I just built a motorized bike. I understand how a clutch works mechanically, but I guess didn't understand how to translate that into using one in practice. I'm going to see if this will work for me to come off a dead stop without having to pedal the bike every time. It'll probably help me start it easier, too, because I didn't realize how short that range of motion is from engaged to not engaged It was really helpful that you are willing to stall your bike out to show how everything is working instead of just saying the words. Ride safe, friend🙏❤
