Isn't this sweet? A lovely montage of real actors, CGI, series music , interview coverage ---thank you Bill--this was obviously a labor of love. Here we are 40 years later and we still can't get enough of this show--that says a lot. Alright Aunt Clara!

Great job on this! The editing and scoring were very well done, and we finally have a return of our Jupiter 2 (love that TV Flash-matic remote). Sure love the many other LIS clips that you guys have created and provided for us fans too! Keep up the fantastic work and thanks for this!

Heck. Dr Who was corny too, but it sure had a lot of fans. The whole series of LIS is entertaining due to the story lines and the music. Thanks again and hope you continue to do worth while project like this one. Great job!!!!

I'm like rikcab, LIS was my fav sci fi until Trek reruns came to my area in syndication. You did do a good job with this. Technically though, The Jupiter Two was a VTL vehicle. It's kind of incongruous with logic to see it's wheel-less landing pods employed in a runway landing. But, you know what. It's still fun. Back in the '80's I read about how personal computers would enable multitudes of people to make their own film stories. We are there. Good job!

Been a fan since1965 when I couldn't even understand English then, I always wanted to see a proper ending for LOS while Jonathan Harris was still alive, like perhaps after all these years, with Earth so close, Dr. Smith actually sacrificed his life so the rest of the survivors can land safely, little like that episode when Smith and Robot returns to launch point time, which was one of my favorite. Yep, the movie in 1997 was a dissapointment, I just don't understand the Hollywood logic sometimes.

I've been a fan of LIS for over 40 year. The episode was a little corny, but I'll tell you what. I found it much more entertaining than the 1998 LIS movie. Very good use of the original sets, props and Mark Goddard. LIS has a lot of potential if it gets into the right hands of the filmmakers. Advice: Use the original props, sounds, music. Only use new technology to enhance the original Jupiter 2 and effects. Thanks for the episode.

I think that its Stephen King's house.lol The Jupiter 2 would have come back to earth in 2027 and the house looks like something that was used in Disney's World of Tomorrow. All kidding aside, very nice video. Thanks.

Nice job Bill-little off with the drama coming home.. Military mission failed, fugitive recovery, and the black box tells all.. Basically, Smith is hung for treason, Don and John got a lot of explaining to do, and the Jupiter-Smithsonian baby.. I liked though..

Excellently done. However surely the Jupiter 2 took off in 1997 so it's not 40 years, it's 10!!

This was an an older J-2 model that was made around 2004. No VTOL capability in the flight simulator at that time. The Goddard model has full VTOL capability and takes off/lands like the series J-2 did.

A pleasant speculation however based on current technology it is safe to say that the Jupiter 2 was not only the first interstella spacecraft it also incorporated VLAT (verical landing and take-off).

The footage of Mark was taken at wonderfest for the video author by request. Bill took the footage for another project, but used it for this video.

I think it has a lot of potential if it can be professionally done by an amateur or hollywood. Hey, maybe it is a project I might take up sometime. Computers can do so much now days. Polish up the script. Get some actors who can simulate the originals or use old voice-overs.

Cute. Admire anyone who loves LiS. Question: why do you have the Jupiter 2 land on a runway -- like a plane? While J2 HAS come careening through atmospheres and has (sorta) landed like that, it's a VTOL craft.
