I'm just happy she's still in one piece. I can't afford to see another sad jackie
JD the A90 Mower 😹
Lesson learned jackie! always have a fire extinguisher in the car, quite amazed is not mandatory in such a big event. I am really glad you are ok man!
you dont carry a fire extinguisher in the cockpit?

Killing it out there Jackie, best thing about it you never stop pushing P1 & P2 are sweating
Disappointing weekend, but when you can say that with a podium. Congrats. All in all a great weekend to build on. Great job by all of you at PhD
I’m so happy these videos are back!
Seems like one of those weekend's where everything is against you. Still good work Jackie! Few changes and car will be on point! American regs are still super weird to me. HAVE to have windows down without nets which just seems dangerous but I'm told it's for fire recovery but then you don't have to have extinguishers or even wear full length clothing when out on track.

that was 100% effort. thats a dang good job regardless man. Keep up the great work!
Beautiful driving, beautiful video, a bit of bad luck, but such a good attitude, love you jackie
Put v bands on the boost pipe!!!!!
Just did a full weekend at Streets of Willow Springs in my S2K! Keep of the sick vids!!!
Just saw your feature on Gears & Gasoline. So proud of you dude.
This is amazing. Having sponsors and good friends must be very important unless you're just plain rich. More success to you I've been following your channel for quite some time now.

dude was spending 18k per race when he was a teen at formula skip barber, he's definitely self made 🙄
I'm happy there wasn't much damage...Glad you're safe.
Feel like I said this for your S2K all the time. TurboSmart Murray Hose clamps/worm gear clamps they get exspensive but you run them as tight as humanly possibly, they just continue to clamp harder especially if theres a lip the coupler is going over.
Cheers to racing, turbos and lit brake rotors!!
I hope you take that podium! Good luck

What a rollercoaster episode!
Deja vu for reals. Man it was like watching an old episode of yours. 4 tenths man. Great effort though. Doing it the Ding way baby. Podium is still respectable dude. Good show out there.
keep pushing jackie!
Need T-bolt clamps, Ive had the same issue with my charge pipe on the A90.
Great to see you back on track! Shame the one part keeps letting you down, it's a work in progress. Good luck for the next event! maybe think about splitter height/contact solution too?
@JackieDing86

Yea that’s on the list of revisions
I raced my MR2 Turbo a few years back, couplers kept popping off left and right. It was the one time I hated turbo cars. Haha
Try roughing up the surface of your pipes where it meets the coupler with some emory or sandpaper. I've done that on rubber couplers with some 120 grit and it works wonders for holding silicone rubber in place where the old regular rubber didn't have a problem because silicone is so slippery. Because of this slippery nature, the added imperfections from the sandpaper gives it something to hold on to. Think like tread on a tire when on slippery surfaces, same concept but on the surface instead of the rubber. Go in a radial motion around the contact surface. It will make a huge difference. If you're worried about looks, just do up to the point where your clamp makes contact but not all the way past the coupler.
After watching this I got vehicle fire extinguisher ads popping up
love your content .
33.5, nice result for tire set up
"what the universal signal for fire" XDD cracked me up
Wow..you guys have came a long so far in this.
I used to have a can of hairspray in my tool box when I raced Mnt Bikes (great for replacing handlebar grips, but not to good for high temp areas) Either way, do not sweat the samll stuff.
Jackie so fast supra is giving up. Lol
If you're not already running them, some titanium shims behind the pads will help keep the heat out of the calipers/fluid.
The fact that this thing still Podiums with it blowing cupplers and the unfortunate incident in the final stretch shows you how fast This supra is Jesus Christ
Very cool, can't wait to see a comparison with current ns2r and ar1, vs new cr1. You need vband coupler
You gotta run some heavy duty t-bolt clamps. Those dinky little clamps will keep blowing off.
Man forgot those rubber couplers. Time to go with V-band on those pipes.
That scraping tho'.
When you bled the brakes it looked like you started at the wrong corner. You should always start at the caliper furthest away from the master cylinder and finish on the closest.
Here for the rally content
Locking up the brakes just prior to bleeding is the low-tech version of getting air out of the abs. ;)
This is the first time I see jackie mad outside the car. If I were there and saw him grabbing his gloves like that, I would be scared.
I know how much it sucks for other cars to get in the way, but I’d surely hate it if the guy behind me was fuming at me for something that wasn’t my fault.

Hope you learned and added a small 3pound fire extinguisher in the car...! Thing always comes in handy, can't tell you how many time it has saved my car/jeeps ass...!
Luckily it wasnt all dry grass, otherwise vid would have likely only been 5 min long
good luck for the future races, and please get that turbo coupler problem sorted, are you guys using hard engine mounts ? your engine might be moving too much causing the couplers to move around a lot and evnetually pop loose....
Hi Jackie, glad all is ok with you and the car, always carry fire extinguisher. What do you think of the rear of the car, it might be your driving style but it seems all over the place?
Jackie it looks like ur front splitter is doing it's work. I would personally suggest trying stiffer front spring rate and leaving the rear wing set to how it was during these laps. But what is your current spring rates if you don't mind me asking. Because if the front is more than what I'm thinking then yeah it would make more sense to increase rear downforce. But at the same time it's not obnormal for the front splitters to be scraping the ground a lot. But 2020supras have a fair amount of downforce stock so perhaps you just need more front spring rate and the downforce balance is already exactly perfect. It all depends on if your front springs are already stiff enough or not. I wouldn't know bcuz idk where they are. I haven't been able to catch up to ur older videos since last season ended. Anyways awesome content as always!!! Great work
Why don't you have t-bolt clamps holding the turbo piping. Also was the ends of the pipes rolled. From the footage of did not look like they were.
“What’s the universe symbol for fucking fire” I’m sorry this is not a funny moment but this made me chuckle a bit

Jackie Ding I get that you are trying to save weight but man a in car fire extinguisher would have been nice for that situation
Always keep a fire extinguisher in the car...
Oh dang!
You need to get some vibrant pipe couplers, they will never come loose.
There may be air trapped inside the ABS unit. You have to use a scan tool and do a bleed cycle to the ABS unit..
Wipe the inside of the silicon pipe with wd40 or similar then when doing the hose clamp up put a drop of oil on the screw/worm drive part of the clamp so it won't bind and it will do up tighter 👍
Can't find any info on the CR1. Where are they available? They have a a052 appearance and if they run anything like them with a Nankang price that would be awesome.
jackie is getting quiet hairy here, hahahaha
1:59 Brendon Hartley back at Torro Rosso
Help me try out those tire! I can't find the CR1's to purchase for my Evo X...
Thank Goodness the Supra is Safe
Holy crap. Car is bullet fast. Does the scraping affect cornering a lot? If so, how will you fix it?
Also want to say in extension to my overly long comment that what u said in the end with weight reduction makes even more sense than adding more front spring ratess. It looks like a perfect balance. Just a little too much weight in the middle with how much downforce you're generating
You were running what pads up front? I think your build states rear are CSG C11 but there is no mention of front.
You need v band style clamps for the charge pipe
You need splitter rods to keep your splitter from bottling out like that and you need to go to summit racing and get the Mishimoto T Clamps.. problem solved🔥✊🏽
Man you were lucky that your car didn't get caught on fire cause i can tell from the brakes it almost got caught on the weeds good thing you didn't leave the car or else it would already have started burning and also i know you'll be doing some power upgrades to do you plan on running at least around 600 to 650hp in case your something that you said will be ready?
I'm not sure why type of clamps you're using but there are some clamps that apply more pressure in order to prevent the coupler from blowing off all the time. Have you tried a T-Bolt clamp for your cars?
This is why you have fire shit in the car bro
Lollll amazing 😂😂
What lap timer are you running up on the dash there?
i saw the pika s2k on the back.. did it do some action?
Wiggins clamp for that hose that keeps popping off?
Jackie we need you to invest in a fire extinguisher system sir. Also when is that 2020 JDing's greatest track hits coming out?
@JackieDing86
4 жыл бұрын
Done and done. Greatest track hits 2020 coming in December lol
These brakes are not meant for racing, at least from the looks of it. Get a set of ap9660 or 9665. Pretty much bullet proof and inexpensive as well. Nice to see ppl building track A90 anyway , great job! 再接再厉!Oh, btw. build a roll cage too. it's a must at this level
You need a CB radio or something to radio in that you are in trouble.
Are these tires really available? I cant find a single thing on them if I search for it, nothing on google, nankangs website etc
No fire extinguisher?
Are you not afraid to rip your splitter when its scratches? Happy to see you back on track Jackie
@JackieDing86
4 жыл бұрын
We have replaceable titanium skid blocks underneath the splitter (hence the sparks), so I’m not too too worried. It was getting a little too much tho, so we’ll raise it up for the next one
Saw a video about bump steering and how bad it is in the Supra. Whatcha think?
Somebody get this man a t bolt clamp stat! Or an aluminum boost pipe with a v band.
Don't worry Jackie, you got to have some great laps and have a great crew with you having fun. I've driven half way across the UK for a race only to have to stop 5 mins into a 45 min race because of fuel pump failure. Us hobbyists cant have boat loads of spares with us unfortunately :( Your car seems very loose on exit, anything you can do with all those adjustable arms to dial in some rear exit grip?
@JackieDing86

We are definitely playing with the car go find more grip. It’s always tough with 275 wide street tires and over 500 HP ha
Hey Jackie, how does it feel switching over to an automatic transmission compared to your S2K? More fun? Less fun? Do you miss rowing the gears and doing the hell toe?

the same thing that the s2000 is happening to you, you lose the brakes, the coupling is released, I hope the engine does not break
Did you not see the Carwow review video? You need a fire extinguisher IN the car....factory option for BMW lol
Ok but what was the universal signal for fire though
Hi Jackie, try Endless brake fluid and pads
Hi Jackie, been away from the channel for a while, but what happened after the crash with the new Supra? Is this the same car but all repaired?
were you pushing 560whp at the track that day
do windows down affect the performance?
You need pipes the have rolled beads so the couplers wot blow off at high boost.
Serious question but what is it with US tracks and piss poor fire safety? I saw 2 cars go up on LZs channel this year alone. Here in Aus we have fire marshalls all over the track and proper fire trucks on standby in the event of a proper fire.
Have you practiced on video games? You should get a legit rig with 3 monitors. It helps so much. You can practice daily. You hit that turn at +100 mph
