Hi another method of helping to keep warm is a hot water bottle. I love the warmth coming from them. I always have one at my feet and back sometimes I keep one in front of me. Some years ago Dollar Tree had small flannel covered hot water bottles I sometimes put them on the back of my neck it was heaven the best part is I only takes hot water and under the cover they last a long time. I put them in my sleeping bag the same as I do in bed. When stealth when I cant turn on my engine It gives me one more to keep warm. The water can be reheated and reused.

Be super careful with the hand and body warmers. I used the exact same ones and got a 2nd degree burn! Got very comfy and fell asleep while holding on to it. Woke up in horrible pain. 1 ER visit later, I had 2nd degree burn that took almost 3 weeks to heal. DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING. It must stay in motion. If it stays in 1 place (like when you fall asleep) you will end up hurting yourself.

I noticed she is more laid back and relax. Once upon a time she was so quiet, i.e. the birthday video. Lately, I have been tickled as I talk back to her as if we are really having a conversation.

There are safe indoor heaters, you should get one! Nothing worse than waking up shivering! Love your videos!

Yea I was wondering if she could get one of those small convection heaters that would definitely warm her can up pretty good, I'm only concerned of how much power it pulls, because I know those small heaters can pull at least 150 watts.

There's portable propane heaters but she could also install a diesel heater in her van. Those are very popular to do.

Omg, when you ordered your breakfast from McDonald’s, I was like “she forgot to get strawberry jelly!”. I was so happy when you pulled up to the second window and asked for it 😂😂. I watch all your videos 🤦🏽‍♀️😩

Your commentor was correct, years ago I took a winter survival class, and one of the things they taught us was to always carry a candle & matches in the car because it can literally keep you from freezing to death 🕯

Make sure you’re keeping your van warm enough for your water not to freeze.

Get yourself a weighted blanket. Put the weighted blanket on top of your blankets. That's how I stay warm in the winter 🤗

The hat is AWESOME! You should consider selling them. The hand warmers are an excellent idea. I also though about an older heating pad that doesn't automatically time out. As a massage therapist I had a mattress warmer to keep my clients toasty during their massage experience. We enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing with us.

I love how we get to watch the car. When I was younger my brother and I would get bored waiting for our mom we would turn on the radio real loud, turn the signals on and windshield wipers...so they blasted her when she turned the engine on. I pretended to do that now. Love your videos!

Sorry not sure where my last reply went so part of this is a repeat. But buy several pair of gloves from the Dollar Store to sleep in & a couple of pair you can clip the finger tips off to like cook in. Of course you’ll need to use just a little super glue to glue the finger tips down but it really works! Enjoy You - Have A Great Day😂

She mentioned her best friend on this episode, but I can't recall her mentioning friends or family before this episode. I have often wondered if she has family she's close too.

I use the “ Hot Hands” for areas of pain instead of using the electric heating pad. I ordered a box from Amazon as well. I want to donate some to the ppl of Ukraine who has to do without heat this winter.

I need ketchup on my hash browns…..never added jam to sandwich but I have put it on what’s left of the biscuit…..

So enjoying your videos. I think you said you will be winterizing your van, but just a reminder, your tanks and plumbing will freeze when your van gets in the 30s. I think you said you might be draining all that in the winter, but I would definitely talk with someone with experience to see what exactly you need to do to avoid any possible damage to your amazing van:)

I throughly understand your reasoning about the heat.. I keep my thermostat at 68 in the cold months, it's about the budget for me. If you keep you head covered that's the winning combination.👍 Everyone's tolerance for cold weather is different..

Anytime you eat out even if it's just for coffee ask for or take extra napkins. That way you have a few in your van. Same for ketchup & mustard.

That hat! You should offer it as merch! Plates with that logo would be awesome! LOL!

It may help to place a sheet to keep the heat in sleeping area. For example, close off bathroom area and cab area. It also helps in the summer months with cooling.

HOW TO KEEP WARM: 1.Keep your core warm with a thermos of hot water, tea or cocoa next to your bed. Take a big swig before you get in bed. 2.Microwave a wet kitchen towel in a double ziplock bag and place under your covers 5 minutes before you get in bed. 3. Keep your head warm & wear your nightcap (beanie, earcovers of knit hat). 4. Wear super warm socks. 5. Load up your warm blankets, quilts & comforters. 6. Handwarmers! Put them in double ZipLock with an oven mitt or potholder if they get too hot. :) :) :) STAY WARM!!

I'm glad you started backing your car in. Easy to get under the hood if you need a jump.

Wool socks , neck warmer, mittens, down booties, and silk long underwear!

When you want to thicken your sauce next time, mix the corn starch with water in a separate contain and mix it. Then add it to your sauce to thicken it.

Having a hot bath is one of the nicest things on earth, especially during the winter in MI! I bought a place on acreage and one downside was that the only bathroom had been redone to make it handicapped accessible for the last owner, so it has only a shower with grab bars. I was not going to waste money on renovations and went in search of a portable tub. I found a Home Filos Japanese style round soaking tub that fits in the shower stall and I can now enjoy a soak in my tub anytime I don't want to just take a shower. Finding a solution to meet a personal need is one of the best ways to have a happy life. Love the hat!

You might want to start the heater for a few minutes when it's cold like that, I have heard other van dwellers say that the exhaust needs to be cleared out regularly. Just long enough to warm things up enough to get the day started. It won't use that much propane. No need to suffer needlessly. And yes!! SO much smarter to back the car in!! In case the battery died, you're facing the right way for a jump!! Yay!

Hellooo. Good afternoon..great video as always…I love Cactus Blossom candle one of my many Bath and Body Works favorites.

When you were having your breakfast from McDonald’s my little dog was watching too and barking when you offer a bite. She was wanting a bite. Sooooo funny.

What's better than one hot water bottle? Two of them should keep you toasty warm all night. Run into Walgreens or CVS, and pick up two, old fashioned, rubber, hot water bottles to tuck into your sleeping bag. At night when you finish with your scrumpti-delicious dinner, heat about two quarts of water, and pour into the flexible rubber bottles. Screw the stoppers in really tight, and place one in the bottom of your sleeping bag, the other one can be cuddled like a teddy bear. They should stay warm all night, along with your hands and feet! You can reheat the same water every night, just put the HWBs in the overhead bin, with the bedding. At bedtime, empty the bottles back into pot, reheating the water, and repeat. Also, during the Texas power outrage with the big freeze, I stayed warm enough to keep our kitchen pipes from freezing by setting up a flower-pot heater. Purchase about an 8-inch terracotta flower pot with a hole in the bottom, and a terracotta drip saucer, just a little bit bigger than the rim of the pot when inverted. Place NO MORE than 2 tea-light candles on the drip saucer with plenty of space between them. Light the candles, then place the upside-down, 8" pot over the flames. The inverted pot should be raised above the terracotta saucer, about 2" - 3" inches, being held in position by resting on something that will not burn. Maybe a couple of chunky rocks, or some little pieces of brick. Best thing to do is to find a big box store with a garden/plant department, and start playing with their terracotta pots/saucers. Stack 'um, making sure that upside-down pot's rim fits in the saucer. In that department, there might be little terracotta "thingies" that you could use for risers to hold the pot up a few inches. Then, take your supplies to your sleeping spot and before bed, set your terracotta heater up, using the top of your stove as a safe base. The little tea light candles burn very clean, and the upside-down pot will get very hot, radiating safe heat into your small RV space. That should bring your inside temp up enough to make it much more comfortable. This little heater will be easy to disassemble, and stow away in the morning. The tea-light candles should be purchased by the case at Target 🎯, or on Amazon for super cheap. No, I don't recommend using one of your beautiful, new scented candles instead of the tea light candles! It would probably get so hot under that terracotta pot, that the strong candle perfume would kill your sinuses . . . . 🤣 Well, Lady . . . . That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
