When I lived in Seattle, I would take Amtrak to Portland often. My daughter was young at the time, and she loved it! It's a fun day trip, but we used to spend a weekend.

Just an FYI, If you buy the pasture raised organic eggs, they cost more but last waaaaay longer. I have had them still be good a month past their expiration date. As long as they don’t float they are still safe to eat. I have saved a fortune buying the better eggs. 🤷🏻‍♀️❤

OMG! I can't tell you how emotional I am right now after watching your train trip to GR's! My biological dad lives there and after finding him back in 2014 we've been talking on the phone. Believe it or not we still haven't met in person, (both are very shy) crazy as it may sound but maybe he's an introvert too (smile) He fought in Vietnam, serve 0ver 40 yrs in the military and has done very well for himself. I'm so proud of him. One day we will meet before it's to late. I want to thank you for taking us to Grand Rapids with you and showing us some cool places, wow that Asian painting on that building was amazing! I'm going to take a photo of me and my dad with that painting in the background when we meet. You are Amazing! 😘 get some rest and sleep well..

My dad was a railroad engineer back in the day, before all of the fancy computers & whatnot (I'm 46 years old, for reference). I grew up not far from the railroad tracks, & my brother & I would hang out at various tracks just to get a glimpse of my dad driving the train. He would pull the lever to give us a few beeps, which thrilled us. I love the sounds of trains to this day. They are soooo soothing & give me more memories of my dad, may he rest in peace. I love that you find the sound of trains do soothing too. I'm a new subscriber, & I love your videos.

I'm from GR and use to ride the old train (before Amtrak) in the mid 60's, as a young teenager, to Chicago where my older brother lived, for the weekend. He would meet me at the train station and we'd take the EL back to his place, before we did the town. I loved the old train station, it was very ornate and had beautiful wood. Good times! Love trains as well. Grew up in a tiny hamlet in Missouri that was a Santa Fe town back in the day. When I was little and had a nightmare when I would hear a train whistle I knew I was safe at home. Love the clickety clack as it goes by. I love to look at the artwork in the trains as they pass by. Have taken the train a handful of times in my life. First time was when I was a toddler and we took the train from Missouri to Maine I’m thinking it was 1955-1956. It was so exciting. Last time was a quick little trip in 2013 from one town in Maine to another town and then back.

First, HOMEEEEE 😍🥰. I'm born and raised in Grand Rapids, moved 4 weeks ago ❤️ Second, you had me befuddled by "taking a train to GR", I was thinking girl how and where lol you actually used to be able to and it stopped "near" the bus station in a random parking lot but it closed maybe 10 years ago. Time flies. Third, you made me nervous when you said you were waiting to eat near the GR station because as you found out, THERE IS VIRTUALLY NOTHING NEARBY. Glad you enjoyed Founders, it's a GR staple ❤️ you would have started to see restaurants in a few miles northeast as you became closer to the downtown. If you ever come again The Rapid bus station operates upstairs from Greyhound and the Division or 28th St bus are the main ones you can use to explore GR, they are the two cross streets that divide the city into quadrants. Summer is a beautiful time to come for ArtPrize. Thank you for a little piece of home.

Not sure if you have one, please make sure you have a battery powered carbon monoxide detector to monitor your levels in your RV. Safe travels!

My dad ,all uncles, grampas worked for S.P.& S Railroad their entire lives... during WW2, they laid track for Pattons troops to take trains over Europe. When they came home from war, they took jobs on RR, so I grew up taking trains on vaca...I ❤️ trains...Burlington Northern RR was where my dad retired from...he was an Engineer...

You walked right by my tattoo artist in GR! Also- it’s nice to see someone actually in the cities in Michigan on KZread and not just the rural areas. ❤

Love watching your adventures - thanks for sharing. I have been traveling alone since losing my co-pilot six years ago. Using the same 18M as you now - you keep yours better organized and your food looks better. Remember we are all with you along the way.

This was great! I’m such a huge lover of trains that my text messages tone is a train horn 😂 I truly enjoyed this one and I’m glad the sandwich was as delicious as I hoped.

Hi, I just enjoy your videos, I'm a huge fan! When you were in Grand Rapids, if you would have kept walking around the corner across from Founders, you would have ran into the Downtown restaurants. Peppinos, Leo's Grand Coney, and more, were literally close by. Hope you come our way again!! Take care!

I grew up in a town where the trains were the main thing so I would hear trains shunting and horns blowing all night so it is a very soothing sound to me , great content, thank you ^hugs^
