I just want to encourage anyone, I have a litter 3 and it had flashing blue and then flashing yellow if I pressed reset. I took off the bonnet, the ball, the litter drawer, removed the screws from bottom, slip apart bottom to access the drawer sensors and pinch sensor. Removed the right and left drawer sensor boards, cleaned clear lenses, green board, and pinch metal contact with alcohol very well, replaced clear lenses in reverse, reassembled and the issue is fixed!

Awesome to hear Kody, and yes, cleaning can be really restorative, particularly if there is material on the silver rows of chip pins next to the black square on the left side green board. Ensuring debris is removed from on and between the pins can get the issue resolved. You can also swap over position of the pinch detectors for a new head and tip contact to help with extending use.

Thank you - I didn't know about this - after having the Litter-Robot 3 for over 5 years, still learning new things.

Great to hear its helpful. The pinch detectors are tricky to locate but inexpensive and straight forward to replace if needed!

Remove bonnet, waste drawer and globe to access this part of the base more easily.

I'm getting the rapid yellow flashing, but verified that the metal pieces are touching.

The metal pieces need to have very clean metal to metal contact, not just be touching. Also, there maybe an issue with the DFI (green boards) so a review of the left one, at the chip or black square centre, can be helpful. All the 'whiskers' should be silver, no dark patches.

@@salescatevolution9977 It looks like there might actually be a little dark patch in the silver leads coming out of the chip on the little board that the pinch sensors are connected to.

@@Kaw-rasu Any dark patch does seem to correspond with board fault, so its likely DFI kit is needed. Recommendation is to replace pinch detectors at the same time.

Sorry, did you get the reply? Push, dont pull, on the cover which is delicate by design and easily broken (not warranty). If you push down the bottom one, it slips easily under the top one, so they are piggy back.
