Being a Champion implies playing it fair. He didn't therefore, no matter if he won the tournament, he's not a World Champion. He's a CHEATER. Cheaters are LOSERS. Therefore instead of being a Champion, Messi is a LOSER.

He’s carried his team to the final once again, got man of the match in 5/6 games(gave 1 to Mac allister), scored the goal against Mexico from outside the box when there was no sight of goal, a very crucial opening goal against Australia, an assist against the Dutch from an angle that didn’t seem to exist and scored both the penalties under so much pressure and watching Messi against Croatia was like watching prime Messi. He’s got nothing more to prove, he’s ended the goat debate a long time ago but today the whole world witnessed it.🐐 EDIT: took the lead twice with 2 goals in the final, motm, golden ball and the freakin trophy itself. It’s done. He completed football.

True. I do NOT rate Messi based on one event. He has played consistently well throughout his career and his footwork while outmaneuvering rivals is sometimes, almost impossible to believe. Move over Pele and Ronaldo. Lionel Messi is the greatest footballer of all time.

If it wasn't for Messi, Argentina wouldn't have ever even made it out of the group stages. Never has an Argentine captain carried and led his country to a WC final just like Messi did since Maradona in 1986. Every great player deserves a world cup, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Johan Cruyff, David Beckham, Marco van Basten, Hernan Crespo, Eusebio, Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud Gullit, Luis Figo, all of them never won a world cup. Paolo Maldini who is considered by many the greatest defender of all time, never won a world cup with Italy, you know why? Argentina didn't have a monster of a team just like Germany in 2014, but they got their chances, and wasted them. Everyone blamed Messi, but no one saw what Messi did that year, and yes, Argentina does indeed owe Messi a World Cup. But haters like you gonna hate, and we can't do anything about it.
