@@rayelk2611 He has been in many different years. Such as 2012 when he broke the record for most goals in a calendar year with 91. A record no one has beaten by the way. He also has a higher goal per game ratio than CR7, so if he plays as many games, he will break that record also. Regardless, both CR7 and Messi are legends and absolute masters of their crafts, and there is no need to compare or disrespect.

Bro, im an argentinean living in your country.. The day of the final, my girlfriend (she is from here) invited me to go for a breakfast and eat some cake outside, to have my mind in other things and not be so nervous.. The thing is: i was using my "AFA Jacket" (from argentinean team) and few people, talked me ramdomly to wish us the worldcup, and few of you said me what my heart was feeling: Messi diserved this.. That assist vs Netherlands was incredible. Just look @12:57 when the camera is zoomed in. You’ll notice that Messi doesn’t even look where his teammate is and he still manages to make such a difficult pass in between so many defenders with pinpoint accuracy. Messi really is superhuman

18-19 Messi is underrated was at his Peak and one of the best form for him . in playmaking and dribbling and for many fans most complete just look at Barca stats shame in 2018/2019 he got like the worst team no chemistry and no system they wasn’t taking any chances, only Di Maria, Messi and Aguero was the heart and almost saved it against the winning side France but they got their revenge in 2022 so don’t matter 🐐

it's not just about goals. in fact, it's not just about goals and assists. messi's plays are not consumed fully by only these two numbers... there are so many occasions where he was the 95 percent chance that a goal occurred but he didn't assist or score it.

At 15:44 you can see Messi directing Alvarez on where to receive the ball b4 passing it back to him. Absolutely one of the best playmakers and this isnt just by account of the quality of his passes but the way he directs the team around him. Even now in the MLS he's got Robert Taylor putting on world class performances just by directing him on how to position himself and when to make the passes. Gonna miss him when he's gone

When I first started watching football in 2010, I had no idea what i was witnessing. I took this man’s abilities and performances for granted. Little did i know that this 5’7” argentinian will set the bar so high that possibly no one in the next century or so will be able to come anywhere close. Now that Leo is in the twilight years of his career, it just makes me smile knowing I’ll be able to tell my kids that I watched this guy play every week for our beloved blaugrana. GOAT or not, Leo has surely done something much bigger than just playing football. He has touched so many hearts and spread so much happiness across the world. Just hope I can fulfil my lifelong dream of watching him play live before he retires ❤️💙

Messi is very similar to maradona. What does that mean? It means that there would be another like him, probably even better, but it would take a long time.

@@PepTalkTillYouDrop if you said about him been short with absolute short control of the ball and dribbling, yes he is similar, but way different when we talk about been a fkn goalscorer with mindfield mentality, maradona can't come close to numbers of goals and assist that messi have. So he isn't similar in general with maradona.

@ Com 35 anos o que torna esse feito mais assombroso, eu também acompanho toda essa carreira do Messi e sempre torci, o auge foi na final de 2014, esperei por 8 anos pra ver enfim ele levantar a taça FIFA e ser campeão da Copa do Mundo, sendo mais uma vez o melhor do Copa

He's scored so many great goals and makes this goal at 6:56 look ordinary. Killing the ball from a long pass followed by deft second touch to not waste any momentum.
