I have an LG gas stove model LSG4515ST top burners works great, but the oven you has a problem getting up to temperature, I can see it glowing at the back of the oven but takes several try's to setting the temperature to make it heat up, everything on the control panel works and lights up. We have had several power outages in the past few months ?? What do you think is giving us this problem? We have unplugged the 110 volt to the stove also hoping it would reset?

Fixed! LG oven. It was heating up but then it would cool down and you would not know that it was cooling down. It would get up to temperature, beep loudly, and you thought you were doing just fine but then when you went to hit the bake button again, you will see the temperature dropped from the set value of 350 down to, let’s say, 200… So it was not firing back up again. Took all of the doors off, bottom covers off, and replaced the igniter and it is working great. Luckily, the part I ordered off of Amazon had a plug on it and the wires inside my oven had a plug, as well. Note, when you takeoff the old igniter, the wires may fall back down underneath the oven. I had to pull out the broiler drawer and push the wires back up through the hole in the oven to hook it up to the new igniter. Easy Peezy. Whole thing took maybe 20 minutes.

Thank you. We swapped out the Temperature Sensor, but still no luck with our wall mounted LG oven getting above 320F. Broiler works fine (ie top heating element); but no luck with convection bake or regular bake getting up past 320F. Comments welcome.

Our LG gas oven will climb to the desired set temp and then it shuts down and wont come back on unless you hit start again. Ideas?

Scott will this thermistor work on my model LRG3081ST / 00 oven?

My issue is a little different. Once the oven gets to 350 I push "bake" and then "start" to increase the temp but the temp reading on the control panel immediately drops to reading 225 right after I push the "start" button. Eventually it gets up to the desired temp. Any thoughts?...thanks.

I have the same problem when I preheat to 350 I put my pan in and 10 minutes later the temperature dropped to 160

Hello, thank you for this! My question is, I will set my over to 350 and it will only get to 305 or less. Would this be the same fix, I think the temperature of the oven is matching the temp on the top gage. It does not say 350 and have a lower temp, it says the correct temp on the screen. I hope that makes sense 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Probably not: if you're measuring the temp with a manual thermometer, and the temp is accurate, - just not getting to the desired temp, then it's probably the igniter.

Hi, I have an LG convection cooking range. My cake was not Browning, the technician changed the iginitor, still the same issue then the sensor was changed. I still have the same problem. No error on the display panel. LG :LRG3095ST your thought would be helpful.. thanks

It sounds like maybe the electric element that surrounds the convection fan might need to be replaced.

I tried to remove the thermistor on an LRG3083ST and I was pulling really hard but it wouldn't pull out more than about 3" and then it just wouldn't budge. Was afraid to pull any harder. Is this common? Should I try to pull the oven out to get a look from the back? Is that even safe?? FYI I am just handy, not remotely licensed or trained to fix a gas oven. Just a last resort before I buy a new one. Thanks!!

Never mind - had a repairman come out. Diagnosed that it was the igniter that was the problem. Apparently, they commonly only last about 5-7 years. Was a pretty easy install. I bought the part online, and diagnosis/installation cost $225.

Is that part universal for all LG models? Ours is four years new LRE3083ST. Unsure which part to order.

Hi ! F11 comes up almost every time we start it now. Even if we always see the glow from the ignitor it doesn't get past 100 degrees but 99% of the time it will work on the second try. We have the exact same stove and it's been going on for almost 2 years but almost always now. It holds the temperature and works on all the functions so no other issues. Any thoughts?

I think it’s the bake relay located on the control board. You might need a new controller 👍

Yeah I've got the same oven. Changed the thermistor and still not getting up to temp,elements good and calibration still nowhere close at -35 or +35. Any ideas, also new board

We have the same similar range but LRE3060ST and when I opened the oven door to retrieve my food there was a big flash and the range shut down! Reset it at the breaker box because it blew one breaker and I'm still getting f9 heating error and it won't heat at all!

So my LG range will not go over 100 degrees and I gert no error code. I already replaced the igniter and I purchased a new sensor just in case. Can you tell me how you got the old temp sensor out? I unscrewed it and tried pulling on it, but it won't come out.

Thanks Marty, You can also pull the stove away from the wall and remove the back cover to get to it.

Had to remove the rear panel on mine as there definitely is not enough slack on my sensor leads

You can take off the back panel to get to the wire if you need to.

This is a very excellent video. Would thermistor replacement be a fix for when the oven suddenly takes a very very long time to get to temperature of at all? I was preheating my oven to 500 the other day aka 475 on convection bake. At 35 minutes it was only at 375. I later tried from cool to 475 and it did reach it but in 24 minutes.

Hi Scott. I've got an LG stove just like the one you're working on in the video. My problem is I get an F11 code but the stove will not start heating. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When it does heat the temperature is right. Do you think this could be more the ignitor?

We have an LG Double Oven LTG4715BD. Just a little over 2 years old. My wife used the upper oven earlier today with no problem, but for dinner, she turned it on for Bake and it never go hot. I checked the Broil settings, and it works. The bottom oven still works fine. What would cause the upper oven from not heating up after we just used it? Thanks.

Same here. Got a couple of F9 errors then yesterday the oven was working fine then changed the temperature and since then no heating. Broiler still works though.

I get an F-09 code but I can see the oven burner is on. The panel shows 100 degrees until the code shows a couple minutes later. Suggestion?

Wow, That sounds like the breaker tripped and cut all power to the stove.

Hello, I got an F9 error code on my LG Gas Range. The oven doesn't heat. The broiler works and the stove top burners work. Also on the display panel there seems to be part of the light that displays the temperature numbers are burnt out. I replaced the ignitor and the oven worked for about 2 hours and then stopped working. And I get the F9 error code again. Is it maybe the temperature gauge or maybe a faulty relay board?

Well the fix worked, but it was totally NOT easy. The temp sensor on my unit was secured with a cable wrap along with other wires. I had to pull the unit out and completely remove the back to access the plug. If your plug won't pull through stop! It likely is secured.

I think you need to replace the convection element that lives around the fan in the back.

Hi I get an F9 code, so I go into the settings to change those degree number, but I am unclear if decreasing will make the oven get hotter, or decreasing it. The oven isn't going pass the initial 100 degrees. I minus like 2 numbers and now it is at 195 (which took forever) I'm just trying to preheat it to 200 degrees. Did I move the numbers correctly in settings?

How did you make out with a repair solution? Our LG propane oven works properly about 80% of the the time. The other 20%, it will not get to full temperature, it might get to 150. But then an hour later is works perfectly again... it's the damndest thing. So we can't really get someone to look at it because it will likely work property when they're here. Very frustrating.

I'm thinking she has an electric oven and it's her lower oven that's giving her F11 code. What is the fix? I've checked connectivity, looked for burnt wires and burnt boards. All checked out in good working order.
